The segments that have been removed on Peacock (Piper/BNB at WM VI, Vince at Survivor Series 2005) are now also edited from the regular WWE Network that non-U.S. subscribers will continue using going forward.

Yep. Both have now gone from the UK version of the network. Although on the “jump to” bit for Wrestlemania VI you can select Piper’s interview and the match. But it just skips to the next segment.
X-Pac in blackface is still there though.

It's gone everywhere because the only real difference in the Network from country to country is a delay in adding NXT each week in places where BT Sport airs it. The Network is not like Netflix or Disney+ where there are multiple versions.

There goes the VPN idea.
Still rallying for a disclaimer solution. Hey it ain't like WWE has been doing it since day one (though mostly to protect themselves from any Benoit backlash)

Wonder if Peacock will be even more vigilant with music rights, that's why stuff like Goth Talk, the Mick Jagger karaoke sketch, and sadly, the Culps arent anywhere to be seen on Peacock's SNL broadcasts, at least IIRC. They may not want to mention name brands anymore either, so goodbye Battle for Breakfast.

There goes my conspiracy theory of the WWE wanting to pass the buck on all this censoring to Peacock (NBC Universal). Did Bad News Brown ever come out against that Piper segment/match? I've always assumed, based on the stories, that Brown could've gotten that nixed if he was really offended by it. I'm really nervous Benoit is going to be scrubbed, which will make WCW TV from like 95 to 2000 and WWE from 2000 - 2007 damn near unwatchable (except when he's injured). I'm all for never mentioning him again, but to gut classic programming of him and pretending like he never existed is dumb, IMO (and I know it might not be a just opinion). My bad feelings about this move to Peacock get worse every day.

Like, I think the bigger issue than even the removing of content is the fact that this deal was put in place without a real strategy with that stuff in mind. Because there's absolutely no way they can go through 17,000 hours of footage and get it all edited and sorted by SummerSlam unless you had a real plan on what was going to go up there and what would be appropriate to do so.
I said Nick Khan was great for pulling this off but as the days go on, this feels like a thing that was really poorly thought out on both ends.

Bad News in shoots mentioned that he was pissed about it, but said that he figured Piper was eventually going to get his ass kicked over it when he does it in front of the wrong crowd. I'm wondering if a concerted effort by wrestling fans could get Peacock to change course to at least release it with content warnings or under parental controls. I say this because of how fan pressure got the Justice League Snyder Cut released. I read an article earlier today about the influence of the fans, and wondered if the same forces that made a movie studio change course can get NBC to do the same:

Please don’t let this end up being like Heyman dealing with Standards and Practices at TNN.
“Can’t say ‘hate’. ‘Strongly dislike’ is acceptable.”
Yeah, in the lyrics of the song “Don’t know what you got til it’s gone.”

I have terabytes on terabytes of downloaded shows, redubs, live tapes, raw files, etc... but for wrestling fans to say "I want the racism back in the shows! How dare Peacock censor blackface and a white dude(who just so happens to be running the show, so who is gonna tell him this is a dumb idea) using the n-word!", probably wouldn't be a great look.

And those fans are basically gaslighted by the companies who gave everyone those offensive things, but now in a vain attempt to prove that they're better companies now, they erase the past just like everyone supposed to be fooled that it never happened. Seriously, why not a disclaimer? Why not parental/content controls? Instead they blame others for being too forgiving of offensive stuff THAT THEY DID!
