Yeah I don't get why Gordon is in the state he is in now. How is he not either a top executive in the Ducks brand/organization or at the very least a practicing lawyer? "Hate hockey and kids" doesn't really make sense. I think the kids thing was him trolling Alex. Hating hockey, I think was him telling the truth. My guess is that he saw how the Ducks and Hendrix were changing, he got disillusioned and quit. The Ducks went from a team that was about fun and teamwork, to a team all about winning, and booting off kids who work hard but aren't as talented. That wasn't the hockey that Gordon taught, these are kids. So he left, and washed his hands of his creation and his passion.

Watching the promo, I swear I saw Riley from Letterkenny as the coach of the Ducks. Can anybody back me up on this?

I wonder if we get any NHL player cameos. The three movies had them in each.

Does Disney even still own that team? Not since 2005, when they changed ownership and just became the Anaheim Ducks. I don't know anything about hockey, I just checked wikipedia.

Disney panicked right around the time of the 2005 lockout and unloaded the team for pennies on the dollar. They sold it for like $75 million when it was valued at around $150 million at the time

"Hate hockey and kids" doesn't really make sense. Emilio Estevez just did an interview, and said it will be revealed in Episode 2. He said without giving anything away, he made some bad choices with college recruiting, and was banned from coaching or playing. Sounds like he was a college coach at one time, and there was some type of scandal (like what was revealed in basketball a few years ago in real life, perhaps).

Turns out none of the Ducks besides Banks and Julie the Cat were actually good well rounded players, and Bombay giving the whole team full rides set back programs for years!

The team retained the rights to the logo from D2 and D3 because that logo was designed specifically for the team and was their primary logo when the team sold. They used it in the movies after the fact. There may be some sort of working agreement between the team and Disney with regards to Mighty Ducks movie related merch, but the trademark is owned by the hockey team

It's kinda unfortunate that this show won't nearly have as many people talking about it due to it sharing release dates with Falcon & the Winter Soldier until April 23rd.

Is Wild Wing still around? His face is their logo in this movie.

Are you talking about the throwback jersey based on the original 3rd jersey? The one with Wild Wing flying through the air holding a hockey stick?
