Reading that makes me so glad I skipped out on Azteca Underground. As much as I adore El Jefe, I knew MLW was gonna screw it up. Their "creative" isn't very creative at all, that's why there's constant invasion storylines and why Hammerstone was shoehorned into everything like he had barnyard photos of Court Bauer.

I sadly had to dig around to find the "expose" where they try and explain El Jefe's "last night in boyle heights"

So there is a great interview CVV did with Taya and Johnny which is a great listen but for this thread of course I locked in just a particular part that CVV posted.



So this is interesting.

1. It confirms that even though Chris Roach did say Taya did kill Johnny at the end of season 4 that he was gonna come back.

2. And that he was gonna feud with his wife and that Taya was gonna toggle between being Taya and the god that took her over.

That would have an amazing emotional arc for both because I assume Johnny would be pushed by the likes of Aerostar to kill her because if not she is going to kill him and everyone else but the god keeps f***ing with him and manipulating him by letting Taya kind of plead to him to save her falsey giving him hope before reverting back to just laughing at Johnnys emotional torture.

I really hope that how quick that republic of lucha show in the temple sold out immediately with all the LU diehards maybe spurs the old crew to maybe wanna give it a second go.

Hell Freddy Prince just said his supposed wrestling company will be inspired atleast visually by LU.

So it is mild but there is kind of a small reviving interest going on and again maybe that republic of lucha show grows that interest into something more.
