It was not on the Paramount + site and has now been removed on other platforms. The reason being the "panty raid" scene.

Wow, I completely forgot about this episode, and I was watching Spongebob pretty religiously at the time.

I still maintain that outright removing material that hasn't aged well is a mistake. Use it as a teachable moment like the Looney Tunes DVDs did. That will do far more to remedy the problem than just pretending like it didn't happen in the first place.

I don't disagree in theory but I honestly don't give most people the benefit of a doubt when it comes to using material like that to show acceptance to others.

Makes you wonder how a thing like that made it into a kids show in the first place. Not like Spongebob is exactly a vintage cartoon or anything.

I get what you're saying, I'm just coming from the angle of the whole "those who don't or can't learn from history...". There are definitely positives and negatives to both, however.

What's so offensive about that? They tried to do something immoral, and it majorly backfired on them. It'd be more offensive if it went off without a hitch.

Even as a naïve kid who knew nothing of the world, I was like “That seems wrong.” I’m pretty sure the scenes were removed on later repeats.

Doesn't help that "panty raids" themselves are pretty creepy when you really think about it.
Especially after watching Forensic Files.
