Development took place tonight on Elevation as Scorpio Sky appears to be gathering guys on the roster who feel like they have been overlooked.
Earlier tonight after his win in an interview Ethan Page said he was going to stay around and watch the rest of the show as he had been talking with someone.
At the end of the Main Event he reappeared and has seemed to join up with The self proclaimed Face of The Revolution, Scorpio Sky as they left together at the end of the show.

No! I love Ethan page and I hate Scorpio sky! Can we just have one singles guy?

Well at the very least Page and Sky as a tag team can work. Division's stacked as it is, but they could do something cool.
I'm kinda interested if it grows though, because there could be quite a few teams that fit this group. Hybrid 2 if they dont officially go to HFO, Janela if he goes heel since the direction seems to be he's getting really cocky and blaming Sonny for any failures.
There's potential here, and god knows Sky could use people to bounce off of to make this new dynamic work better

I want one wrestler that’s not connected to a tag team or a stable. A singles guy is a guy who does well in singles competition, with or without a faction. Page and Sky both have good AEW singles records. If they made a faction they could still be singles stars but still be representative of a faction Omega being world champion but being flanked by Good Brothers doesn't make him any less of a singles star. Darby being TNT Champion with Sting watching his back doesn't make Darby any less of a singles star, Moxley and Kingston being brothers in arms but still being singles stars, Lance Archer, Christien, etc. As far as a guy with no connections goes, sorry to tell ya AEW likes factions and likes creating friendships, partnerships, and interconnecting webs for their wrestlers to go forward with or come back to. We dont even know if this is a confirmed faction or they just found mutual ground, so it's nothing to get overly upset about until we know more. And even if it is a faction, it'll get more people on the show and featured in potential angles, I'm ok with it.

In which case there is Lance Archer. That’s the thing their solo if that’s their gimmick. It was Mox and Darby. Now Darby is hanging out with his stepdad Sting and Mox is in a bromance with Kingston. Now I’m a much bigger Archer fan. I think he would be better if he dropped Jake though..

I do wish AEW would kind of tone it down on all of the alliances. I do prefer it over how WWE seems to think friends are something only heels have, but it does feel like nearly everyone of consequence is in a stable and it just makes things often feel too cluttered. ... And is probably a big part of why they have weekly giant stupid brawls. Like, I can see where the Inner Circle adds something but I can't really see what the purpose is of Death Triangle beyond just cramming more people on screen at a time.

I think MLW does the mostly stables better. With Los Parks, Contra, Injustice, Team Flithy, etc. Their roster is a lot smaller roster but the feuds overlap and flow into each other, but then they have a few singles guys doing their own thing as well. Everone is given something to do. AEW I love the show, sometimes I’m a bit critical of it. But there’s like four segments a show with just a group of dudes standing around.
The less stables and teams you have, the most interesting it is when they do team up or work together. Right now AEW looks like a meme bunch of cliques in highschool.

Like, I can see where the Inner Circle adds something but I can't really see what the purpose is of Death Triangle beyond just cramming more people on screen at a time. PAC, Penta, and Fenix felt like they were being overlooked and wanted to step up. The Pandemic kinda derailed that for almost a year but that was the original intention of just three talented potential world champs combining their power to overcome everyone. Also I mean it doesn't hurt to have friends when you need it. It's also been shown that guys who become friends don't always become factions but they establish connections for later down the line or more. This is not a confirmed faction which it is important to note, but two guys with similar thinking could lead to tag matches or just staying in close proximity, we basically have to let it develop. I also really dont mind the brawls, they include so much when they're done well and can set up so many different directions. Plus it's not like everyone looks to stay in factions forever or even moves around, so it's cool to see those developments as well.

I’m not opposed to it. Sky needs any help he can get in the charisma department. And Page is purdy good. Night help Sky find direction with his character.

The less stables and teams you have, the most interesting it is when they do team up or work together. Right now AEW looks like a meme bunch of cliques in highschool. It allows a ton of guys to get on TV and even get mic time and matches... I don't see the issue whatsoever when it comes to factions and alliances in AEW up and down the card. Not everyone's in factions. I dont consider tag teams factions either. You have quite a few guys who have friends or alliances but aren't in groups, others like Cage or Miro look to be breaking away soon, in Wardlow's case eventually, and then others can and have clearly stepped away from their groups to have impressive singles outings to show they can be singles stars I think AEW's had a fine balance with this, and who knows, when we get that second hour it might space out all the more, but I am a type where I love factions and groups... so I guess it's just my viewpoint that I think it's cool when groups can overlap, feud, add and subtract, etc.

I feel like the thread title mislead people into a bit of an overreaction to this whole thing tbh.
Even if Sky and Page become a tag team, thats not a stable, that's a partnership of two people with a goal in mind to either go for the tag belts and/or feud with other tag teams
Until it shows they actively want to recruit or find more people, or if the team even sticks at all, it definitely isn't a stable... but it could be, and tje prospect of one isn't a turnoff for me, but it definitely isn't set in stone.

Whyyyy??? Uppitttttyyyy!!! Really though, Sky looked good tonight in his match, and I think him heeling around with Ethan Page can be fun. Tonight on Elevation was the first time I think I "got" Ethan Page since the North. His first appearances in AEW just weren't doing it for me.

Thought crossed my mind because Cody is facing Ethan at the House Show
What if QT's stable inevitably ends up being something like QT, Sky, Page, Comoroto, and Ogogo? Maybe Solow?
QT's whole thing is that he feels he's being held back, or being held down, same as Sky and Page currently. So what if his faction isn't a complete Nightmare Family Split, but ties into that same narrative. Sky and Page were also in the Ladder Match with Cody which Sky won, Page beat Lee Johnson in his singles debut, which QT walked out on, Cody beat Scorpio in a TNT Title match awhile back where Scorpio was trying to "kick down his door" and failed.
I'm not saying this is where it's all leading, but, there's plenty of storyline precident to be had here where it'd fit.

Miro and Kip are almost done. I don't think Ethan and Sky is a stable, I just think they're going to team against the Sydals, and it will go from there. I think there's loose associations, tag teams, trios, but as far as stables go, there's really only Pinnacle and Hardy Family Office. Good Brothers are just some Omega lackeys. I think a Faction/Stable should be 4 or more. 3 is just some buds hanging out.
