Yes, I watched all of Elevation. No interest in Sky leading a stable or getting into another tag team, whatever that nod was supposed to be. Page deserves a shot as a singles and I have no interest in Scorpio Sky, the last time he was remotely entertaining to me was his match with Jericho. I think AEW's added tons of other talent since then that have surpassed him. I actually thought it did more for Mike Sydal in my eyes than Scorpio. Just my two cents. If they workshop it on Dark and I'm proven wrong, so be it, but I don't think it helps Page to be aligned with Scorpio, who seems to be one of the few folks in the company that doesn't click with a good portion of their audience based on what I'm seeing on social. Wasn't Scorpio getting really good crowd reactions in his match with Darby? I feel like the dude just needs a gimmick to work and it'll all click, he's been a good worker as well. Maybe Page is what Scorpio would need to bring that out of him because he is great at promos, time is going to tell though.

Well, I liked it. I don't think AEW should give up on AEW just because some people on social media aren't into him. He's been over before, he's a good worker, and he's a black man in a division that lacks diversity. I like him more as a heel, and I liked him and Ethan Page together. As a solo act, by himself, it just hasn't really worked out, but working with someone new and possibly creating a new way of telling his story, there's a chance for success. They're not going to give up on him, so I guess get used to him getting pushes until it works. AEW isn't a video game or a cold hearted business that just fires people on a whim. If something isn't working with a talent, they try other things out. That's what they do. And Scorpio Sky is part of their family, and has been a part of what started the company.

The dislike of Sky is one of those collective delusions that “the IWC” seems to have just, kind of, spoken into existence. Places like this forum, Reddit, etc...seem to hold it as this universal truth that he doesn’t connect with crowds and is boring, but a lot of the feedback from live crowds and other places like Twitter seems to be largely positive. I mean, I like him. His matches are great. I’m excited to see what he can do as an arrogant heel, because that seems to fit his persona a little better than bland face who’s very proud to be from California. Plus, it cracks me up that the “criticism” of him has been that he’s a bland promo and that he needs to be put with someone who’s better on the mic. So they put him with exactly a guy like that, and now that’s drawing criticism because there are “too many stables.”

Cool -- agree to disagree. I don't think I ever said to fire the guy, but I don't see anything right now that screams somebody that needs a top spot, but that's my opinion. Like I said, if they turn it into something and it clicks, great. AEW has a track record of doing that so I'm not going to totally write it off, but he's felt bland and I wasn't very inspired by his commentary. If it works, great.

He's a good worker, I don't deny that, but AEW is chock filled with people that can tear the house down. Maybe Ethan's what he needs, we'll see.

Ethan and Sky as a team or part of a group both are fine with me. Neither guy has anything going on, really, so it makes sense. Beyond that, I'll reserve judgment.

If you’re signed to AEW and you’re not in a stable, are you sure you’re signed to AEW?

Scorpio will likewise find his footing as a solo act, if given time.

And I'm not trying to say that people don't dislike Sky, or to criticize the people who find him boring, but it's just not true that there's this general consensus that he sucks.

I get the impression Ethan is there to help get Sky over. All Ego is such an underrated mic man and absolutely helped Josh Alexander in Impact. Josh has the look and skill to keep it going mind you, and I think Scorp does too, but it's clear he needs the right nudge

So did Sky get kicked out of SCU? Did he quit? What is his status with them?

I know people are apprehensive of these two being a pairing but that promo tonight was great. The half dark faces complimenting the other, the whole back and forth. The fact they're gonna have a potential banger vs The Sydals? I'm definitely willing to see where this goes.

I think their weird hivemind promo was supposed to look intimidating but it just came off like an anti-smoking commercial.

Looks like Ethan Page and Sky are a new tag-team (or a partnership at least) and it's not the beginnings of a new stable. I think it has potential. Page is a good singles wrestler, but he also shines as part of a team as seen when he teamed with Josh Alexander as The North. I also think his bombastic personality can do a lot to cover up Sky's shortcomings.

He was great in The North but he decided to leave Impact and go out on his own only to be stuck in another tag team While I want to see what Page can do in a singles capacity, it doesn't hurt to be considered a tag team specialist who can work with different people, Cesaro made a killing off it. It gives Sky and Page more to do in the current time until the upper cards find more room to accomodate them.

He was great in The North but he decided to leave Impact and go out on his own only to be stuck in another tag team Can we not do this, guys? Two guys teaming on Elevation doesn't mean they're becoming a full-time tag team. Maybe they will, in which case have at it, but wherever this angle is going it hasn't even really started yet. I know "wait and see" is a dead letter in the WWE section (pretty deservedly so), but I think we can still apply it here.

I'm just a big fan of Page and I really see nothing in Scorpio so this just bums me out.
