I thought Hey Dude kinda sucked. Salute Your Shorts would win by default even if it wasn't a great show in its own right.

Salute your Shorts easy. I tried watching Hey Dude and never made it through an entire episode. Salute your Shorts I saw every episode. Wish they would release it on DVD. The bootleg set that Donkey Lips was selling are ok. I bought one of these! Once I heard he was doing this, I had to. There are even a few extras, and he signs it, too, which is a sweet little touch. I'd buy a legit copy in a heartbeat if they put it out, but I'm glad to at least have this set. I had no clue Donkey Lips was selling them. A friend ran into DOnkey Lips while bowling. Mentioned to DL how he would love to see the show on DVD. Turned out DL had copies out in his car ran out and grabbed two.

He's doing a public service by selling these, really.

Last time I saw SYS on the air was when NICK GUTS would rerun it. And that had to be over 10 years ago. Saw online a few other people mentioning running into DL and him having copies of the DVDS in his car. I'm guessing he carried some around with him.

I bet people who talk to him say how they want it on dvd/blu all the time, and he figured he may as well start carrying them with him. Smart on his part, and awesome for people to be able get. Everyone wins.

Salute Your Shorts is still my favorite live-action Nickelodeon show. Hey Dude was a decent first effort, but was dull compared to what would come later.

Salute Your Shorts. I don't really remember storylines from Hey Dude. I remember capture the flag, salt water taffy, and dina mistakenly asking Donkeylips to the dance. I remember the Hey Dude where Captain Lou Albano was a guest star

I have so many more memories of SYS that I'm shocked it only had 26 episodes.

Tough choice. I’ll go with Salute Your Shorts but only by a slim margin.

I also liked Salute Your Shorts better, however when it comes to Halloween/Scary episodes I give the nod to Hey Dude
Zeke the Plumber is a legend, but the saw killer episode of Hey Dude was legit scary

There are so many plots/moments I can think of off the top of my head:
Zeke the Plumber (obviously a classic) Budnick and Michael in the nurse's office doing a puzzle after pretending to be sick to get out of a trip Sponge and the radio contest When they all had to quarantine in their bunks(strangely timely all these decades later) due to chicken pox Sponge and Donkey Lips training for the wrestling tournament Ug dating Mona Dina getting stage fright and Sponge dressing up like a chicken to loosen her up Clan of the Cave Girls Dina wanting to get a famous musician to stop at Camp Anawana Telly and the basketball team Dina and Budnick dating Sponge's date at the movie theater The Treasure of the Sierra Madre The food fight in the kitchen
It's incredible this show is only 26 episodes because so much stuff happened.

I remember the one where Budnick and Michael fake being sick and end up working on a puzzle in the nurse's office. If I remember correctly Budnick is really great at puzzles because he was left alone a lot by his parents and that's all he had to do, or something sad along those lines. Wait, isn't that where they do the puzzle upside down and flip it over? I've remembered that forever, but could never place where it was from.
