In all seriousness, can somebody name 2 instances where adding Baron Corbin improved something? Anything?

I wonder if changing things up was intentional, because.....well, a certain trial began yesterday. And as such, WWE is trying to stop people from seeing the HB as a veiled reference to a certain movement? (don't laugh, FAN taught me about the apparent veiled reference, when you take the initials of the names of the original three members)

Maybe Shelton and Cedric will face turn, team up and take on Hurt Business? Hopefully this means Shelton will get that push at last? Nah. MAIN EVENT time for them!

Are Shelton and Cedric's contracts up or something?
Seriously, what the hell?

I'm honestly not shocked. Many of us were talking about how The Hurt Business was going to end up turning itself babyface anyway. This stops that - Corbin hanging with Lashley may help guarantee Drew gets cheered at Mania.
I'm sure they'll end up back together at some point.

Big E said it so I didn't have to. Not a fan of this at all. Pretty much. Vince just showed his whole ass, here (again). He'll never change. I don't want to jump the gun here, but it almost kinda feels like Vince lashing out because Universal (Peacock) is editing out his past racist content. "Oh yeah? Well you can't stop me from killing the heat from my successful, over black stable and trying to transfer it to the blandest white guy I've got!"

It's way more likely that Vince just doesn't want Lashley getting cheered at Mania and so they've paired him with the only person that gets actual heel heat from crowds. It's an indictment of how WWE builds faces/heels, but I think it's a stretch to say this is some sort of retaliation.

More like... Benjamin, Lashley, and MVP. (I joked that they'd turn face when they added Cedric, and would kick out Benjamin. Because, "Alexander," and to them you turn them face by changing the B out for A) Either way, I can see someone decide that now is not the time to keep a stable of black heels. Never mind they formed as the protests, etc. happened, or shortly after. Either that or somehow it has to do with what we now know about Peacock.

But...on the contrary, I wonder if the Peacock deal caused them to decide not to have a group of POC be heels, and thus they are trying to mix it up a bit? More edicts from NBCU itself?

This situation is exactly why New Day fought so hard to maintain their group.

Hmm
After last week's loss, the Hurt Business are banned from ringside at WrestleMania. Shelton and Cedric are no longer in the Hurt Business.
Yeah this stinks of a setup. If so I love it.

This reminds me of the time they spent week, maybe even a couple of months, pushing Titus World Wide And when FINALLY they get really over, they overnight completely get rid of then from TV. But it was better by default because we didnt get Corbin from out of nowhere. Tozawa was so over during that like... two week period he was with Apollo.

I mean, we're not in the company so anything we say is speculation so I acknowledge that at the top. However, I would be surprised if execs at the NBCU level cared enough about WWE programming to offer story suggestions. USA execs? Maybe. They were the ones that wanted the 24/7 belt and why it's still around. I really think this is a situation where there's not much to see beyond WWE trying to get through their first live show with fans in awhile with a crowd giving them their desired reactions. If we start to see more "sanitized" programming, though, then I would start to think NBCU is weighing in.

I guess if there's a plus side it's that this might mark the end of that awful king remix of Corbin's theme. No way! That theme is the only thing about Corbin that I actually like.

The theme itself is alright, but I'm talking about the awful instrumental parts they jammed into the middle of it when he took up the king gimmick that completely destroy the song's momentum.

I hope that’s the case. I forgot about that stip. Didn’t actually watch Raw, was the break up done in a way that could still be a logical outcome?
