I do pretty heavily disagree with the idea that QT being around for years before making it on TV means that he shouldn't be on TV. There are plenty of people who take years to get their big break and plenty of people who are amazing but just never manage to make it, these things happen, it doesn't speak to how good someone is.
Now, I'd argue QT shouldn't be on TV because he's boring as shit and basically wholly indistinguishable from if you just threw some random guy off the street in there but that's an entirely separate matter.

Right, but we also don’t know what’s going on backstage completely and if that’s his take and his sense of it, that’s about as good as anyone else’s take. That’s all I’m saying. I think that disliking QT and finding him “minor league” is a fair opinion. Saying that, by mere virtue of the fact that it took him 15 years to catch a break, he’s inherently not cut out for National TV is a bit tougher for me. Daniel Bryan debuted in 1999, but never made it to WWE until 2009, for example. Some people just come into their own later, especially in wrestling. Fair, and guys like Eddie Kingston prove that original poster’s theory has some holes, there’s just nothing to date that has really caught my attention about QT. We’ll see how he does.

I agree with your second point. QT might be a great guy in real life but as a character he sucks. Even in the expanded material (BTE and Sammy's Vlog), he bores me. If we are being harsh, some people weren't meant to be on TV shows, that's the cold hard truth maybe he's one of them? I guess we'll find out once we see where the new angle is going.

I think that the entire thing with QT in this storyline is that he’s a painfully average guy who has become jealous of his superstar “best friend” constantly making him feel inferior. The fact that he’s kind of a schlub plays into the whole angle, and I’m enjoying that so far. If this all ends up elevating QT himself rather than being used as a vehicle to feature the guys with real star potential (like Comoroto) I’ll be disappointed, but I agree that we need to wait and see.

I personally find QT dull as dirt as an on-screen character, though maybe being the leader of these young guns will give him some sort of personality. All that said, he's invaluable as a trainer and has an impressive mind for the business side of things according to everything I've heard.

Thanks for being more eloquent than yours truly. The second point makes sense you see, I thought the first part was why I wasn't feeling that take from the poster. I don't think it's fair to make a timetable on when you make it or dont in wrestling That being said, I know people have their reservations with QT, but the stable is clearly meant to build up the likes of Solow, Ogogo, and Comoroto with QT trying to either use them to his advantage and or coach them up and get them to a more respectable place in the company and not just be in "Cody's Family", and that's the direction I'm all for. You had Ogogo punch Cody out, you had Comoroto throwing everyone everywhere including Lee Johnson onto the stage, Solow choking Billy out with a chair, and QT piledriving Dustin into the steps... overall, you set up four easy matches for AEW, Elevation, and DARK (QT/Dustin, Cody/Ogogo, Comoroto/Johnson, Billy/Solow) and they all feel like they aren't particularly out of place.

Also, I think Cody and Sting need to have a running tally between all the times they've been betrayed by friends in their wrestling careers.

He’s like the dude that was actually doing the singing for Milli Vanilli. Really talented in every aspect except for what it actually takes to make money. The fact that being aware of that fact, and bitter because of it, has become his character is probably the best possible use of him as an on-screen character, in my opinion.

Main event was great. It was a weird show. Just production and segment wise. You can it was obviously taped

Just what I was about to post. He's a good wrestler in a fairly obvious way (it's hard not to be impressed by Sasuke Specials and fancy Diamond Cutters out of nowhere), but he looks and sounds so thoroughly average and bland that he can be effective if treated as, well, a good wrestler with no star quality who is navigating that status within the fiction, which has been the case. He definitely works better as a bitter washout than as the everyman hero that they previously tried him out as.

Originally went with a 9, but I'll bump it up and give it that 10. Fun show that just flew by for me.

This is honestly how I feel about Sky. I dont think QT has what it takes to be a big deal, but i'm interest in the angle,I hope he takes more of a Taz role,a teacher and strategist

Not really force feeding anything is he? Whole point of the segment was to get Solow, Comoroto, and Ogogo over more than anything. Legitimate young, hungry talents, and Ogogo a former Olympian. Marshall's gonna be the head cause he's the trainer, he's the coach, but Comoroto/Ogogo, those guys are the meat of this. And on the other end so will be the likes of Lee Johnson. If you are 15 years into your career and you have not gotten a single sniff at a big company before AEW, you are not good enough to be in the big leagues Mark Henry spent 15 years being absolute awful before having a really amazing run.Just saying, thats short sighted. He was also part of ring of honor, not sure if that counts as big,but it is as big as Impact

9. Loved most of the show
Christian vs Kaz was really good. Great to see Christian back
Love the Jade video and her attacking Red Velvet
6 man was fun
The Pinnacle and Inner Circle brawl was good.
Women's match was good. Surprised to see Allie win.
Main event was excellent. Loved seeing Statlander back, loved seeing Trent and Sue back, loved Kris killing Ford and really loved Chuck getting the win with that nasty finish. Great way to end the show
I did not like the QT stuff at all and that's why I didn't give it a 10. QT is boring as f*** and I have no interest in seeing him on tv nevermind leading a damn stable.
