I'mma just gush about my dude being back and that match so don't mind me cuz YEAH it was good
I loved the story of the match being like "is Cage ready enough to really BE back" gradually turning into "F***ING CHRISTIAN IS BACK", it was cool to see how Christian's style is gonna be now (like...slower as he's obviously aged but still getting the big moves in, still a crafty bastard), and damn it just nice seeing that wily son of a gun back at it.

I legit thought Christian was going to die of a stroke or a heart attack at several points in the match. Kudos on the great selling job and all-around fantastic performance by the Instant Classic.

Looked a little rusty to start, he shook it off rather quickly. All his moves were hit crisp, looks like he really hasn't lost anything. In great shape, I know his hair got some comments but what can ya do? All in all, Cage proved he can still go, went 20 minutes with one of the better workhorses in wrestling, and the future for someone who is 47 looks real bright
If people were worried about him getting a World Title match down the line vs Omega? Well... I'm not anymore, I think that's gonna f***in rule.

I figured it'd be pretty good but that was a lot better than I was expecting. Great way to make a comeback.
Though Christian might want to think about shaving his head, that hair was certainly something.

A great match that was different than what you'd usually see on Dynamite. He's still got it.

I figured it'd be pretty good but that was a lot better than I was expecting. Great way to make a comeback. Though Christian might want to think about shaving his head, that hair was certainly something. There are so many bald white dudes in wrestling, though. He might as well keep it, especially if he's going to continue using his age in his psychology. Which is my big thing to love about the match. Very few older wrestlers are actually in a position to gracefully transition into wrestling as older wrestlers, either doing their best spots for as long as they can or gradually transitioning into easier spots or being booked more dominantly because of their name value. Christian is a big enough name and a good enough wrestler to get a push at age 47, but being back from a seven-year absence means that he gets to return as the old dude and wrestle as the old dude. It's great.

Good match with a good story, but in all honestly the last time Kaz was interesting as a singles star was probably when these two fought in TNA back in the day

Christian looked good out there. A bit of stamina issue apparently but he'll get better in the coming weeks

Kaz and Christian had an excellent series of matches in TNA. This was a good way to show that the super-motivated Christian Cage that ruled TNA is back.

I am critical of Kaz sometimes (him as a face is weird when his character makes more sense as a bully), but he was the perfect man for the job here. Someone with history with Christian, who was equipped to go the distance with him, and he delivered. I respect the hell out of that.
Maybe Christian wasn't what some people wanted or expected, but after a match like that, I'd take him over Brock or Punk any day of the week. I mean, I would have, anyway, but this solidifies that.

I thought Christian looked fantastic and assumed that any ring rust he may have shown was to a degree deliberate, because it fits in with how damn good he is at storytelling. I'm just glad that my boy seems to be getting his due after this welcome return and I hope there are big things ahead for him.

Can we uh, not call him Cage for short? I mean most people just know him as "Christian" and the shorthand surname "Cage" generally refers to a completely different wrestler who can't really just be called "Brian" instead

That was a solid match.
The style was different from what we're used to in Dynamite openers (faster-paced), but I still liked it.

It was a really fun match. Too many false finishes for my taste, but that's a me thing and not really a problem for them.
