Had James Bond on the mind recently and thought about all the different over the top henchman that make up the rogue's gallery for the spy. Going through and there's quite a number of ones to choose from, so thought we'd see if there's a particular favourite among them. Doesn't mean that the movie they belong to stands out from the others, can be the henchman themselves that were better than the film itself. Listed the main ones here, although there's probably a few that could have been added on top of them, but the list is pretty long as is. Went for the ones that had a presence in the movies they were in and lasted a healthy chunk of it as well. Who's your favourite?

Jaws' heel run and face turn is like the 2nd best subplot in all 007 movies. The best subplot being Bond and Moneypenny's "relationship".
So I'm going with Jaws.

Jaws is great and I'm sure will win, or Oddjob, but I"m partial to the weirdness of Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd.

May Day’s my favorite with Necros being a close second.
Not sure why Emilio Largo’s listed when he’s clearly the main villain in Thunderball with Fiona Volpe as the henchman.

Wasn't entirely sure with him since he's definitely under Blofeld throughout the movie. Leaned towards this one at a could go either way option.

No Baron Samedi, or Omurov? They were kinda secondary dragons to their big bad bosses, Mr. Big and Trevelyan.
(granted, Omurov was a dumbass and got himself screwed, but still)

Plus, Onatopp was more of a henchman, Omurov felt more like a secondary boss, type of person. Similar to Whitaker.

While he's not my favourite (Red Grant), Dario from LTK deserves a ton more love. He was sleazy, had a malicious streak and gave a young Benicio Del Toro his first major role. His death scene is also arguably the most brutal in Bond history.

Chang from Moonraker ... heck he fell into a bloody piano! have a bit of a soft spot for big hulking galoots ... so Gobinda and Stamper Mr Wint and Mr Kitt are wonderfully kitsch MY MAN THE BARON SAMEDI ain't no goddamn henchman and cannot possibly say of BAMBI and THUMPER but the best is of course JAWS

If he's kneeling, Oddjob is unbeatable.

Using that thought process wouldn’t Rosa Klebb also be a henchmen since she’s taking her orders from Blofeld as well? I have a hard time considering Blofeld the main villain of Thunderball when he’s in the movie for about five minutes.

I mean, its Jaws, the one so popular he did a face turn, but also behind some of the creepier scenes in the series (pyramids, the carnival). And has one of the best introductions to a Bond girl. "Do you know him?" "Not socially. His name is Jaws. He kills people."
But other than that - Baron Samedi and Tee Hee from Live and Let Die are a great bunch of competent bad guys, Wint and Kidd might be controversial in some circles for being overly camp but are the most efficient assassins in the entire series bumping off around a dozen people, and Gobinda is a very underrated Bond villain. I love his "Are you f***ing shitting me, mate?" look he gives Louis Jourdan when told to go out on a moving plane to get Bond.
Otherwise, Mr Stamper was a massive disappointment. So was Henry Gupta, imagine getting Ricky Jay in to play a Ricky Jay style villain and then cutting almost all of it!
On that note, is it just me, or is GoldenEye far better than Ouromouv and Xenia are the main villains? When Sean Bean shows up, it sort of loses interest for me.

Red Grant was, unfortunately, not used to his maximum potential.
Xenia made me conflicted, because she was far more captivating to me than damned near any other Bond girl in the whole damned series but she was an unrepentant villain. Famke Jansen gave me that conflict with a lot of roles she played, however. Strange, as I have a type and she isn't it, but I digress.
Jaws is hard to not notice and even made a repeat performance, which is unusual for a henchman.
Oddjob is iconic, however.

Wint and Kidd were the only henchmen that I was sad to see killed. They were both villainous and fun at the same time.
Jaws would be second because he was a great heel but I hated his face turn.

It was really hard choosing between Oddjob and Jaws, but I went with Oddjob because of seniority. I was also tempted to skip over both, since I figured they would get enough votes anyway, and give some much needed love to Nick Nack or Tee-Hee. Or maybe "Other" for Rosa Klebb or Bambi and Thumper.
