f***ing LEGO's.
I have waited DECADES for those damn things to be used in a match.
Dreams really do come true.
Thumbtacks, eat your heart out.

Lego's have indeed been used in deathmatches well before this, but not of the mainstream variety
But I mean... they're no Ice Cream Sprinkles...

That's a couple of very fair points and perhaps I was being too harsh. A good "weird prop" spot always owns and it is great to see that Chuck Taylor remembered that.

I'm pretty sure there was a Christmas match involving Lashley where LEGO got used in WWE a couple years ago.

Over the last ten-fifteen years, they've been occasionally used in Japan, TNA/Impact, and a couple of Indies I can think of. However, this might be their first mainstream use in North America, maybe? Does anyone know if it was?

I've definitely seen them once or twice in recent years. Only reason I remember this is because in my old e-fed, we have a three match Lego series. First was a Legos match, used much in the same way as the match on Dynamite. Second was an Extreme Legos match, where weapons were made with Legos all over. Third was the Ultimate Legos match, where the ring, the steps, the guardrails, EVERYTHING, was made from Legos. Those were some deadly matches.

I'm not sure if I'd rather bump on lego or the dice Brandon Cutler used on Peter Avalon.
d20s and some of the others would possibly not hurt as much as the lego since they might move, but d4s have got to hurt more than lego.
