If you don't feel like building your own computer and would rather get a prebuilt, What are the best major computer brands? The worst?

Just go to your local PC store and have them help you select parts for one. It's cheaper and you'll end up with a much better machine. I don't understand why anyone would buy a computer any other way.

I don't understand why anyone would buy a computer any other way. - Because they don't know how to build them - Because they don't have time to do that. - Because they aren't interested in such things. - Because they just straight up don't want to. People have enough shit to do without having to build their own computers too.

And not everyone's got a store like a MicroCenter nearby.

I generally have good luck with standard Hewlett Packard, the current one I've got is about six years old and still runs pretty well.

When I still lived in TX I would get a buddy to build my computers. Had one built in early 2004 that lasted till 2015.
Now that I'm in a town where there is no computer store I've just started calling Dell telling them what I want and getting laptops from them. Usually every 6 years I get a new one.
