So stories that have an orphan find something that can grant wishes, why not wish for your dead parents to comeback to life. I mean duh. I don't know much about the story of Aladdin and his parents. I know the Disney is still alive, (sorry if I spoiled a over 23 year old movie)
The modern version of Cinderella that most of us know. (early versions the father is either enabler or accomplish of the evil step mother, in some versions, there is no evil stepmother, he is a villain) dead parents, evil step family. Fairy god mother it is nice of you to fix her dress, and get her ready and able to go to the ball, but instead, how about you just bring her parents back to life, and thus problem without having to marry some duchy prince.

Pet Sematary. Sometimes dead is better. I read this short story once about a family wishing their grandmother back and death made her this vain, obsessive monster.

There would probably be some kind of monkey's paw situation to it. Like yeah, they're alive, but they're still in their caskets when they wake up.

My question is why do you want your zombie parents eating your brain so badly? Also, once they're done with you, they're going to start trying to eat everybody else's brain, too! Why would you wish such a horrible tragedy upon the world and for your family's name to forever be associated with it?

Did The Monkey's Paw teach us nothing? It taught us but we didn't consider the ramifications of that lesson.

It'd be awfully heartless of the Fairy Godmother to bring Cinderella's parents back to life just for them to drop dead again at the stroke of midnight. Which I'm assuming is how all of her magic works, because otherwise why put that limitation on it in the first place?

They do it all the time in Dragon Ball. Not for Grandpa Gohan. only because Goku thought he had learned everything he could from him, or was distracted by food. well that and Grandpa Gohan was busy trying to hit on a demon forge goddess (I tend to zone out on those last 4? episodes of dragon ball.) and didnt want to come back for longer than 24 hours. **edit** thinking about it which Goku is the bigger dick? dragon ball Goku?, dragon ball z Goku? dragon ball super Goku?

DBS Goku risked his entire universe just so he could fight some new people. He's awful.

They do it all the time in Dragon Ball. Not for Grandpa Gohan. Dragon Balls can only resurrect people who've been dead less than a year

I need to know...
Did any Batman villain try this?
(If not for 70s SatAM standards and practices, they could have made this part of that one Challenge of the Superfriends episode where the Legion of Doom change everyone's origins. Have, say, Scarecrow say "Boo!" and frighten Joe Chill out of Crime Alley so the Waynes could pass unharmed)
