Just curious what everyone's final day on the app looked like yesterday.
Mine:
Monday Nitro 2/28/00 - First time watching it since it aired. I was there live. I was in 8th grade and my Dad had taken me and four of my friends. It was shortly after a massive traumatic event at my school and it was great that we all could hang out and get our minds off it together. I really liked spotting us in the crowd. Felt good. Also felt good to see Ric Flair vs Curt Hennig and spot Curtis Axel in the crowd. Had completely forgotten the main event was Tank Abbot vs Sid in maybe the single worst main event of a two hour wrestling show ever televised. 2000 WCW was bad and taking this full show uncut reminded me how much better we have things now.)
WWE Countd0wn: "Infamous Gimmicks," "Biggest Blunders" and "Eccentric Oddjobs"- These episodes were the very first things I watched on the network once my buddy Anthony got it right after launch. Outside the ripping on Mike Adamle, these hold up really well and are genuinely still funny.
Wrestlemania 2 Press Conference - I wanted to watch something that would probably never ever for any reason wind up on Peacock. These was a really fun glimpse into WWF promotional endeavors in the 80s. Nice to see something new from a bunch of talent who aren't around anymore.
WCW Festival de Lucha - Another thing that will probably never be on Peacock. One of the greatest contributions that the WWE Network ever gave to the wrestling world. This was really special. Would have loved to been there live.
205 Live 2/27/17 - I just jumped to the final segment because Neville/PAC gets launched into the crowd and lands right at my feet. I'm in the white ICO-PRO hoodie. Hi Chaz.
Wrestlemania 2 Jesse/Elvira Intro - Finally, I wanted my last glimpse of the network as we know it to be the absolute cross-section of my interests. The Network search function actually had an auto-complete to search "Elvira" and it brought me right to this.
Never again, friends. What a run.
