So, where to begin? Everything has turned to crap this year. Work, home, health. 2021 seemed like it was going to be a great year but it's pretty much a worse version of 2020.
Vaccine rollout in Ireland and Europe in general is really slow. I'm in the very at risk group which is currently being vaccinated but have no idea when I'll be vaccinated. My doctor also doesn't know.
My wife has a condition which "may" put her in the at risk group. The wording is vague and her doctor and the support group for that condition don't even know for sure.
Meanwhile, good weather and a holiday weekend have combined to create Idiot Fest 2021 where social distancing and wearing masks do not exist!
I've never particularly liked people but this pandemic has really shown just how stupid and selfish people can be.
Rant over. Time to meditate and take some deep breaths. And just in case anyone is worried, I'm not suicidal or anything. Just needed to vent.

Hey man - I hear you. I'd kept looking to the spring as a sign of hope and possible changes in events, but it's just seemed worse than before. More variants, more people not caring about the lockdown measures owing to Covid fatigue and nice weather... all while the ICUs get overrun and the vaccination roll-out takes forever. I'm lucky in that I'm not in a significant at-risk group (minus being overweight), but I am a teacher and the likelihood of getting exposed to any number of covid sources is high for the profession. But my province in Canada is rolling things out by age - which makes sense for those primarily at risk - so it means I won't really get a shot at vaccination for awhile. It's been overwhelmingly negative mood-wise around here lately.
All I can hope is that you and your loved ones get vaccinated soon and that things turn around. Pulling for you, buddy.
