While it wouldn't join the Disney Afternoon until September of that year, Darkwing Duck first aired on the Disney Channel on Saturday mornings.
That Sinking Feeling was the first episode aired during this "preview run".

I marked out when I found out the Shadow's identity was Kent Allard and put two and two together to see that Drake Mallard was an homage to that.
Can't believe they had a full-on Twin Peaks episode too.

I loved Darkwing Duck as a kid for the same reason I loved Batman and that was the villains. I loved the variety. Had the Darkwing Duck Gameboy game back in the 90’s as well.

Still find it kind of fascinating that some episodes of TV shows that were omitted from rotation in the US were shown as a normal part of the show here in Germany without any problems: -The mentioned devil episode of Darkwing Duck. -The Panda-La episode of Talespin -The Married With Children episode where the Bundys and Rhoades families sued a motel/hotel for taping them while they had sex in the hotel. |

Is said Panda episode on D+? (probably..with The Disclaimer...) EDIT: Apparently not. Nor is the real last TS episode. Come to it, was the last part of the pilot of TaleSpin ever made into a "post-9/11 temporarily lost" episode? I just saw it today, and you got Don Karnage destroying buildings, planes flying through cities and, well, into buildings. Pretty harsh, even with Karnage's usual buffoonery... |

This show is such a big part of childhood, inspiring me to pretend to be my own bumbling superhero and go on adventures, complete with my own varying rouges gallery. Including a man made entirely of pizza, and a guy with cinder blocks for hands.

Alright, how can I watch "Hot Spells?" Wild to me now that I've never seen it, as it seems to have aired opposite the X-Men Series Premiere on Fox Kids so despite being one for Darkwing every Saturday, I had to miss it live.
