Doc McStuffins is the best. When my niece wants to watch it, and Doc is just so sweet to everyone.

So… I’m going to give this a big ol’ necro bump for two reasons:
1. Bingo (in novelty balloon form) was all over SmackDown last week, and then Grayson Waller popped her in the post-show dark match 2. I’ve been watching way too much Bluey for a 34 year old man with no kids. I do have historic form in this area (the Friendship Is Magic boom)
But it seems to have only gotten more over in the two years since this thread started.

I have 6 nieces. I have seen a lot of Bluey. It's a cute show, and considerably less obnoxious than a lot of shows aimed at tiny children. (Which, I get it, writing for kids is very different than writing for adults, but you don't realize how absolutely DRONING a lot of kid stuff is with singalong songs until you watch kids.)

Bluey is just a good show, don't be ashamed of liking it, it's well written, well produced, and the music that is produced for the show is insane
I recommend everyone check it out, and if you need those "Ok I'm hooked" episodes, they can be watched pretty out of order without any need to know much, they are
- Baby Race - Sleepytime - Rain - Onesies - Dragon
Onesies is the episode that blew the show up, it was popular but that one went really, really viral, and got a lot more people interested in the show
The writing is great and for all ages, it's a calm, comforting watch, the characters and the character development is amazing, just can't recommend it enough to anyone who reads this post lol

I don't have kids but one might hanging out with my friends that have a 3 year old, we watched like two hours of Bluey and that show is hilarious.

One of the best ever lines not just in Bluey but in any show as a whole.

Started watching the show for a few months now, currently in the third season.
It has become a sort of comfort watch for me to start the day on a good note, to just forget all the s**t going down in the world currently for 8 minutes.
Love the characters, the family dynamic in the Heeler household and a show that can bring tears to my eyes (the episodes "Sleepytime" and "Baby Race") just has to be a good show.
Kinda wonder whether this show has been the most edited preschool show in the US yet (in turn, making me wonder if the episode "Dad Baby" will ever see the light of day on the Disney Channel or D+).

I do remember seeing talk of a fan theory about a miscarriage and thinking it'd be a stupid creepypasta or Rugrats Angelica theory thing, but no, seeing the clip in question, finding out the context, and then finally seeing confirmation from one of the creators, it's going to probably be too subtle for kids watching to pick up on it in many instances, but Bluey's mom did indeed have a miscarriage in the past, which is a pretty real serious thing for a kid show, maybe, but it's also something many kids will invariably see in their own personal lives as miscarriages are very common, and many of their moms, aunts, teachers, etc, will unfortunately experience one.

Kinda makes me think that one of the reasons Chilli wants to keep her options open (related to the talk Bandit had with Fido in "Perfect" which in the original version was subtly hinting at the topic of vasectomy), is that normally she would have had 3 kids instead of 2.

Love the show and probably started watching with our kids around the time this thread was created. I think we've watched all the episodes through at least four times, some way more than that too.
It's the only kids show I'll actively go out of my way to sit and watch together.

Bluey works because the writers use the same philosophy Craig McCracken used with The Powerpuff Girls: "We never asked: What would a boy do? or What would a girl do? We asked: What would a kid do?"
And yep from the clips I've seen, they seemingly have been asking the same question.

And her sister is seemingly infertile, not sure if she's actually carried any babies to term to miscarriage, but it appears she cannot have a child and it's kept her distant from Chili because she was able to have at least two children to date. It's also something that makes Baby Race even more emotional, and the episode where they put on the play for Chili's Birthday and allude to the miscarriage. The crazy thing about this is Red Heelers naturally have trouble having puppies apparently, so it's not just showing real life experience connections, it's staying true to the actual dog's biology, it's just great writing.

I just like how unapologetically Australian it is.
Seriously, if in 20 years time the United States are actually good at cricket on a world level, 90% of it will be down to the cricket references on Bluey.

Seriously, if in 20 years time the United States are actually good at cricket on a world level, 90% of it will be down to the cricket references on Bluey. From what I heard, the creators of Bluey were very adamant in international negotiations that they do not redub anything, but to leave it in the Australian vernacular.
And I am very happy for it, learning about another country more in this manner, especially the cuisine (first time I learned about curried sausages and pavlova).
