My best one was at a SmackDown taping which happened to take place on the same day my city had an election. This was also during the time when Linda McMahon was running for Senate and WWE was promoting the “SmackDown Your Vote” campaign. So I made a SYV sign and added “Vote Lemon Party” on the bottom! The sign monitors didn’t get the joke, so I got a Rule 34 reference on WWE television!
My other two favourites:
1. A picture of a remote control pointing to a TV screen with the mute button symbol above the remote that I intended to raise for JBL when he got his weekly interview time. After the show, a big crowd gathered around John Cena (the time period before he became a polarized figure) who was signing everyone’s merchandise and he got a laugh while autographing my sign.
2. The “Steiner Twitter Bird” sign; I drew a Twitter bird with imprints of Scott’s sunglasses and moustache inside. It was during the time when Scott was bashing Hulk Hogan on Twitter on a regular basis. Steiner gave me props and was happy to sign it!

When Cena and Rock were feuding I brought a sign that said "Sneakers To Asses" done as a parody of the Rise Above Hate shirt. Security took it away for saying "asses" on it even though they were selling the Boots To Asses shirts and letting in people that showed up in them.

"I came here to see the old man flop" Raw circa 2005 during Flair's last run.
One of my more artistic friends did a sketch of Benoit and his missing tooth with "Toothless Aggression" during the Ruthless Aggression era.

6 of us at WCW Souled Out 1999 had signs that said "NORMAN" on one side and "SMILEY" when you flipped them over.

I've had 2 make air.
1) At WM13, I brought 3. After the tag title match, there was a slight intermission, so I grabbed my "KOP: The Real Dominators" (shout-out to a friend's play-by-mail fed) and got a primo spot, expecting the street fight to be next. (You remember that guy with the heart-shaped "Follow Your Hart" sign you'd see a lot when they'd show the Hart-Austin match? That was from this show and I was in front of him!) I obviously wasn't paying attention and Finkel announced "the special guest referee, Ken Shamrock!" I said, "Ah, shit" and ran back up the aisle to get a better sign that fit the occasion. (If you look closely under the Hart heart, I can see a corner of mine.) Cut to when Shawn Michaels comes out to do commentary and they pan the crowd, there's me in my newly-purchased Austin 3:16 shirt-about to enter the Army a month later-holding up the "Chicago is Stone Cold Country" sign. My brother is to my right; he's one of those people who goes to live events and just watches. The type you'd need to put a mirror under their nose to see if they're still breathing. My wife is like that too. (Fun Note: some dude must have liked the sign; for the Peoria, IL Raw tapings, he had a cruddier version that replaced Chicago with Peoria.)
2) My kids and I used to watch a lot of Botchamania. They got a kick out of when Roman Reigns comes out to a loud chorus of boos, and the Mario Boos would pop up like a rating system. (Ooh, this got 5 boos!) My daughter made 5 of them: a large "regular" Boo poster (where she put "BOOOOOOOOOOOO!" in big block letters) and 4 little ones she stuck to pencils. "Regular" Boo got a run at a WWE Raw live house show. Roman Reigns was facing Rusev. When Roman came out, fans really laid in with the jeering. I'm up near front row mezzanine, kinda holding it up. Roman stands at the special entrance, looks around, sees me and my sign. He kinda gave a "Heh" and gave me the wave-off. At a local show, the daughter and I took the 5 boos and had fun with them and the heels. The biggest fat bald biker and a fat guy masquerading as Bane walked closer to us, and we'd just yell "BOOOOOO" and wave the Boos.
3) AEW Dynamite, 11/27/2019. Daughter made a poster-sized King Boo for me to take. And he got a lot of work, especially during the Best Friends-Lucha Brothers match. They did the "Yay/Boo" exchanging punch bit, and with every Boo, mine went up. You can see him a bunch during that week's AEW Dark as well. (Wife texts me cause they're actually watching Dynamite with "I see Boo!")

I was at a small-time indy show 15 years ago. My favorite dude in the promotion had the last name "Fowler". For the show, I made a big "FOLEY IS GOD" sign, squeezed a W between the O and the L, and added onto the Y to make it look like an R, so it read like "FOwLEY^ IS GOD". He got a big kick out of it when he saw it.

Two that caused incidents that I remember.
1. At my first ever live show in 1992, I had a sign that said “Natural Disasters Need Slimfast”. We were in the second row and I held it up and both Earthquake and Typhoon saw it and sold like they were angry about the sign. I tried to take it down because I thought they would come over and beat up my dad and I but my dad kept making me hold it up. Then Hacksaw and Slaughter came out and laughed at the sign and gave me a thumbs up.
2. I brought a sign to a Smackdown taping in 2002 that said "Marc Lloyd Sucks". He was the 4th string Smackdown announcer for a while in 2002-03. Not sure why I hated Mark Lloyd other than being a teenager and an asshole. He and Michael Cole did Velocity together. Cole saw it and pointed it out to Marc Lloyd. Then I felt kinda bad even though Cole seemed to think it was hilarious. That weekend when Velocity aired, Marc Lloyd was commentating Funaki's match and took offense to Funaki calling himself Smackdown's number one announcer. Cole said "Hey I saw a sign here that said "I'm here to see Funaki". The only sign I saw for you was "Marc Lloyd Sucks"!" Then I didn't feel as bad anymore cuz it was played up for laughs on the show

The last WWE show I saw was the first time I brought signs. It was a Smackdown taping in 2002, after Survivor Series (so Heyman turning on Lesnar and handing him his first televised loss), so I did my finest prognostication with a "LESNAR: HE'S NO TATANKA" sign. Dunno if it actually made it on air. The other one I made most likely did show up on camera a bit, but it was just a purple emoji from another message board (think but one eye was smaller and the mouth was a bit open instead of a frown). EDIT! It was this show, chock full of creamy Smackdown Six goodness.

I remember in 2006 a lot of female fans were bringing John Cena signs with the “O” replaced by a heart, so I had one with the “O” replaced by a pile of poo

After having a Raw almost ruined cause the jackass in front of us kept holding up his sign and blocking our view,I have never brought a sign to any wrestling show.
Closest I have done is when I brought a pile of Burger King crowns and handed them out to people in the crowd to use to tease King Rob Love.

"Rooster 3:16," complete with skull and red mohawk. This can be seen briefly at the end of the Raw from Atlantic City, DX vs. Taker and Mankind I think. (this was the day after Hardcore Heaven, BTW) Not seen but in the same set of signs, "Bring back the Warrior...to clean the concession stand"
Jerseyites will only get this one, but if you remember NWS I would usually bring signs to their shows when they were in Edison. I got on the company's photo site a lot this way too. In fact, as much as it irks me to reference it, watch "Please Don't Die" and you'll see stills of Janela with my signs 1-2 times.
I have a "Bundy Knows Best" sign that King Kong Bundy himself signed for me.
"Sabu is rated TV-BM"
"ECW Zombie: The Revolution is Dead"
"ECW Zombie: the NXT big thing"
"The Patriot is SINCERE about his country" (or words to that effect)

Due to the potential of ruining things for the folks behind me worse than sitting behind the tall guy, I've only brought one sign to an event. I brought a "Stevie-Corp Intern" sign to a Smackdown event.
Though, I had a short run going to indies, sitting in the back row and wearing a top hat.

Not me, but I’m still partial to the guy who made the front page of the paper with his “DUPIS GO HOME” sign.
I believe it was for René Duprée.
