It'll be a miracle if that opener is any good given there has yet to be an Orton / Bray match that's risen above the level of, "DEAR GOD WILL THIS END ALREADY?"

Updated forecast has removed that possible 9pm storm. Holy shit, they might pull this off. (Should’ve just used my strategy and announced a Formula 1 race to happen. Any time there’s forecast rain, it NEVER falls until after the race) I'm now imagining Vince running a racing league. The WRF, if you will.

Reminds me of one of my favourite things on Twitch/YouTube, a dude simming NASCAR races with wacky drivers and wacky tracks and goofy commentators and big crashes... It feels like if WWE did NASCAR. Just look for “Diddler Cup” (I know what that word means in another horrible context, but that’s what it’s called).

Hopefully this Orton/Wyatt match will be better than what they did prior at WM. That match wasn't horrible but it was passable from what I remember.

The action was fine but considering the entire feud up to that point, for it to just be there is an astoundingly high let down. It was like how HHH/Orton had this massive blood feud and it lead to...what we got.

I would hope Orton/Fiend being a regular match doesn’t hurt it at all, because the de-escalation from Randy setting an evil clown man on fire to a plain match is kinda disappointing.

That’s my thing, like, I’m not saying it needed to be a cinematic match or anything but the fact that a feud where so much happened it just leading to a normal singles match, not even No DQ or anything just seems really weird.

Also that Orton sperm snake thing. Like, when you think of a WM match you need to think of the great moments and not the wacky ones unless it was designed to be wacky. I'm not gonna be surprised to find out they wanted to redo that match because they realized they could have done better. It's like Wyatt man, what's really his best WM matches? Are they the Cena ones? Are those 2 Cena matches his best?

I remember too the report around the Rumble was the next Fiend/Orton match was going to be something "insane," so having it just be a regular match is weird. Maybe it was the insane thing to go from "Orton kills the Fiend by lighting him on fire" to the follow up "they have a normal match"

Main event is tough for me... I think Roman needs to lose... but... I think he should do it to an upcoming new super face... not a returning Legend or one of their biggest faces that is likely retiring soon... I guess it could be be the like Luger beating Hogan... but that didn't happen AT Starcade. I wonder if they might move Drew to SD and send, I dunno, Bryan (if he doesn't win tonight) to Raw.

Taker/Bray was OK, I guess, by the standards of post-2014 Taker? 2014 - Cena 2015 - Taker 2016 - injured 2017 - Orton 2018 - no match 2019 - injured 2020 - Cena cinematic match Unless I'm forgetting something? I do rate Bray (he's quite good with the *right* opponent, him and Bryan have had some bangers and he did some good stuff with the 6 man matches) but he's had nothing at Mania, pretty much.

Honestly I struggle to think of an outright good Bray Wyatt standard singles match that lasts more than five minutes and isn't against Daniel Bryan.

Like, the footage of the cockroaches blatantly went back to the start like it was stock footage they brought from a website and it was the most dollar store thing possible.

I hope Orton vs. The Fiend ends up being insane, but not going to lie, I still would've rather seen Orton vs. Alexa here.

Wow, he's only had that little amount of WM matches. Due to how he's built he's the perfect superstar to jump in and jump out tho so good for him. Also he's always facing guys like Cena, Orton, Taker, you know, big leaguers. He's established.
Honestly I struggle to think of an outright good Bray Wyatt standard singles match that lasts more than five minutes and isn't against Daniel Bryan. The Seth matches were dope although the finishers were questionable. Then again that's Seth. You gotta be an A class worker to work with Wyatt. After this feud he needs to work with some midcarders who need to level up.
Like Wyatt would be dope against Ricochet, Ali, Damian Priest, just somebody else because he's at a level where he can be used to push you ahead.

I don't even know who won that match. I think it was Orton but, oh yeah it was Orton. He lost that title to Jinder months later.

Yes, they rushed Cena/AJ, then AJ got to wrestle Shane McMahon in a 50/50 struggle instead. Then the fans wanted Harper, a key part of the storyline, involved in the title match, only he got booted away from the entire show. Then Orton derailed Brays momentum, only to lose the belt to Jinder Mahal, whose 7 month reign is best known for utterly derailing Nakamura's push. A multiverse of awful.

I'm obviously not watching Mania night 2, as far as alternate programming aka Rain Delay theater is concerned, if there is a weather delay (OR WORST PPD and matches rescheduled for RAW and SMACKDOWN) here is the counterprogramming/Rain Delay Theater:
Sunday Night Baseball (Phillies vs Braves) on ESPN Pittsburgh Penguins vs New Jersey Devils on NHLN (Blacked out in Penguins/Devils Markets) Rangers vs Islanders on ESPN+ (Blacked out in New York markets) Washington Caps vs Boston Bruins also on ESPN+ and SportsNet in Canada (SN Will likely use the NESN feed which means our poor Canadian friends better hope Wrestlemania goes on tonight or they'll have to put up with the Bruins announce team on SN, ESPN+ game is blacked out in DC and Boston Markets) NBATV's Center Court presentation of Miami Heat vs Portland Jail-Blazers (Blacked out in Miami and Portland markets)
