Like I said in the other thread on the subject, Roman needs to lose the next defense in order to stop this being a JBL or Jinder tier reign. The only thing separating this from Jinder's reign is that Roman's character work is good. However they're making the babyfaces look like absolute clowns that somehow don't expect interference The dumb babyface stuff really needs to end. Just have one guy have a friend at ringside to fight off Uso already. Kevin Owens might be champion right now if he didn't betray every friend he's ever had.

Honestly I might even say that he's a slave to the Judas in his mind.

Honestly WWE seems to actively f***ing despise the idea of heroes who are competent. In the past decade there's been, what, Drew and Becky as it in terms of faces having long, successful title runs (and I hesitate to count Becky because in the last seven months of her reign she defended the belt twice)? In between that has been an endless crushing weight of Brock, Brock some more, Roman, Bayley, Shayna, Jinder had it for entirely too long, Cole, Charlotte, Nikki.... It's CONSTANT that the faces in this company are complete goddamn losers. I honestly want to know what WWE's rationale behind this is. Is it some sort of extension of Vince McMahon's world view or something else, because this "weak heroes, strong villains" thing isn't a new phenomenon for them.

It’s Roman. Face or heel, bad promos or good, good matches or slogs....he’s the guy. Of course he was gonna win here. He’s still Superman. I don’t care if he’s a cheating heel, he’s still Vince’s guy. He’s just as unbeatable as he always has been.

Deleted two prior posts. Offering an apology for any conflict caused by it, It was poorly worded and came from a place of spite and it had no place here.

I will say, if they were going to have so many heels win, they could have afforded to pace the two nights of WrestleMania differently to accommodate heel and face wins rather than seemingly bundle one in one day and others in another.
It's why I'm growing stronger against the two nights thing because, for all the time saving it would be, booking hasn't earned that benefit of the doubt for me.

So I like NXT and night 1...should I not watch night 2? Night 1 is like " yeah we can put on a good product" and night 2 is like "but we won't" So don't Perfect summation

It's a hard sell for me to go back to one night WrestleManias, because what would happen there is one of three things: #1. The show blows back out to six, seven, eight hour marathon slogs to accommodate as many wrestlers/matches as possible and still give them decent time #2. The show stays at three or four hours, but match time is severely cut down to accommodate as many wrestlers/matches as possible #3. The show stays at three or four hours, but even more wrestlers/matches are cut from the card to allow for the remaining wrestlers/matches to get decent time (and if they're there, it ain't gonna be part-timers getting cut, no siree) You have to find the sweet spot between a reasonable overall runtime, a healthy number of wrestlers featured as possible, and a decent runtime for each individual match. This year was as close as I've seen to them getting that, and EVEN THEN some matches were seen as too short or there was disappointment about wrestlers that didn't make the card.

Oh, logistically, I absolutely see the positives and how it'll work out for all involved but having one night be the "good guys win" night and the other be "the bad guys win" just feels like how all these would end up being like, the only difference would be sometimes Day One would be that and Day Two would be the other. And this was the likely only time (before they pay a lot to change what happens next year and the year after potentially) to sell that to me and others. And if that was the case...well, they need to go back to the drawing board.

I agree that the match card structure should've been rearranged so the face/heel results were more evenly spread out, but this is still only a sample size of one. It's just not enough to put me off the concept at this point, especially when weighed against the pros and cons of keeping it and the pros and cons of the alternative options.

I'm not rubbishing the whole thing entirely but as someone who barely watches anything the company puts out, it sort of feels like this was the time to sell me on making any kind of party plans to watch with friends next year and, well, it wasn't a great first impression. And I don't know if I am patient enough for another year to wait and see if they figure the whole thing out when their track record was one of the things to drive me away in the first place.

They severely lucked out in that they had enough straight-up talent to work their way out of the creative sludge to the point that more than half the card could be described as good-to-great. All I can say is just to follow your gut.

Night 1: f*** yeah, wrestling's fun again in WWE, I'm stoked for Night 2. Night 2: Oh yeah, this is why I don't watch anymore.
