I’ve only vaguely heard of the guy, but just from watching one clip (The Roman/Cesaro thing) they sounded great. Dare I say it, even Cole sounded better. Might try and watch the thing to listen to the whole thing.

It was pretty rough Friday. Hopefully, they gel better with time.

At one point he got up as he was talking and Cole looked a bit scared.

Dude standing up the whole time like he's waiting for someone to try and take his life while Michael Cole is just sitting there is hilarious

Reminds me a lot of Matt Stryker. In the good ways. He even sounds like him.

Not there yet, but I’m somewhat confident that he’ll improve. Unlike the RAW guy, Pat doesn’t seem that out of place.

I thought he did a good job. Good to have someone who can convey excitement

Well I missed it, but he apparently said wrestling on this show and then apologised for it. So that's not a good sign.

After a few weeks, he can be a bit grating at times, but overall, this actually seems like a masterstroke move. McAfee sounds legit excited, interested or outraged about everything on the show and that makes them feel exciting, interesting etc. Gorilla/Bobby, JR/King/Heyman etc might not have called every move exact or worked as sports play by play, but they conveyed passion about the show, that what we were seeing mattered. McAfee sounds like hes having a complete blast out there and is invested in every storyline, and its contagious.

I need to watch a SD just to hear a full show of him. I’ve just heard a few clips, and I see him on Twitter jamming out to Boogs every week which is hilarious.

You had Daniel Bryan putting over the nuances of every match and it was amazing. Most Raw commentary, for example, would be too disengaged talking about storylines happening during the show to do that. And as a result, big shocker, I’m not invested in the match.

Listening to Pat's radio show recently, for as much of a bro as he is he actually gives a lot of really good insight to not just football but other sports as well... like breaking down the intricacies of Olympic sports and what training is like. And so far WWE is judt Pat being Pat.... minus a million F bombs

I like how he makes things sound like a big deal, like “only three people in the world can do what we just saw” “are you kidding me? We’re getting this match tonight?”

I noticed it at the last PPV too, there were a couple of moments where Cole's professionalism really began to slip and I said then he sounded like he wanted to hit him. It's rare, but happened once or twice on Smackdown too. Tonight, it was reallllllly obvious he's close to losing his patience with the guy lol.

I love that Pat is getting on Coles nerves because Cole is trying to be steadfast WWE professional commentator.
and Pat over here like LOL I don't need this at all I am just doin this for fun *stands on table marking out to THE BOOGZ!
It is such a great dichotomy of someone who is under Vince's thumb vs the guy who isn't worried at all about the job because he has got plenty of other irons in the fire.

Pat's commentary reminds me of how Piper would be.
Which is a great thing.
