I am super hyped for Blood and Guts, the match is going to rule.
Sammy has got himself over over me as a face the last few months, Postage and Packing were basically always faces to me because of their story. Hager not so much.
But I am finding Jericho's babyface stuff insincere, clunky and kinda mortifying. Jericho has been a great babyface previously, and it is nothing to do with his real life persona - I thought the way he talks now is stupid and this week even I thought got kind of embarrassing.
Maybe it is just the same shtick as he has always done and in 2021 it seems dated to me. Anyone else struggling to get behind babyface Jericho?

I think he's fine enough, but I don't see Inner Circle surviving past this feud, really, unless they run Jericho vs Omega II.
A lot of it is that the Inner Circle is just too much of a heel thing by design to buy into as a face group, even if Sammy and PnP were definitely due a face turn. Beyond that, this just isn't playing to 2021 Jericho's strengths.

It's the necessary thing to have done especially to turn the likes of Sammy and PNP face against the likes of MJF and Pinnacle.
As far as it's being taken, you can hear the crowd, they've seemingly been waiting to cheer Jericho, so it's been working just fine.

Jericho's not that long off playing the Jericho Victim Role in his "I hate legends" feud from 2009 now tbh.

I’m curious if it’s also being largely colored by the real-life shenanigans and BS from Jericho making it a tough uphill battle to root for him.

Yep. That fan pandering playback singer egomaniac is absolute shite as a babyface.

Jericho has always been corny as a face tbh. Couple that with him constantly showing his ass in real life and his diminishing ringwork and it's no surprise the face turn isn't clicking for some. I personally think he has enough charisma that these interview segments work regardless but I totally get why they wouldn't work for others.

Its probably because he kinda gives off 2002 Rock vibes, I dont care for the politics stuff, its idiotic to think about it at this point.

The Inner circle needed to split after the betrayal, with Jericho taking out MJF's people one by one with Sammy there as his backup when it counts, before finally jobbing to the man himself. Doing the same things as a face as a heel works for Sammy because he was right in his face turn, Jericho was wrong and the rest of them were wrong and got a beatdown, but they're the same group who made the faces miserable for a year.

As mentioned, it’s most certainly a temporary thing. IC will dissolve, go through more shit or just go away for a bit.
It feels less of a solidified face version and more like a scorned heel going against a worse heel.

He’s definitely not a natural babyface anymore, does come off rather corny.

Always been a big Jericho fan but I do prefer heels to faces.
He is quite clearly a bit of a dick in real life but he probably isn't the first and won't be the last like that.

Unless you’re completely unaware of their outside the ring actions and only know them from watching on TV I don’t get how anyone could cheer for a group with Jericho and Hager. And Sammy isn’t an angel either after the Sasha stuff and recently supporting Chris D’Elia.
LAX are the only likable members. Hopefully they break away soon and re-focus on the tag division. They were one of the best teams in the world a couple of years ago but it feels like we rarely get to see them having actual tag matches lately.

You can see why he prefers being a heel as he's able to reinvent himself each time, where as every face run is basically 2000 Jericho but he ages 10 years each time.

I mean the crowd basically helped turn him anyway. He was getting into Ric Flair territory where he was getting support no matter what he did. I liked him better as a heel but I feel like he has more fresh things to do as a face. He does need to find something new though to add to his character this time around.

Jericho has go away heat with me but that's just me.
Also, there might be more heat in this program if he hadn't given MJF a swirly. The Inner Circle sort of already got their revenge. If it wasn't for the spectacle of this match I probably wouldn't care one bit about Pinnacle v. Inner Circle.

He has to be a babyface if he wants to put over the likes of MJF sadly.
The thought of MJF as a face makes me shudder.

Jericho is way more creative as a heel. As a face he seems to rely more on his natural charisma than trying to come up with something new to say/be. That said, I think he's still trying to find his feet as a face, so I'm not going to write this face run off just yet.

I thought last week's promo was bloated and kinda cringeworthy. And then it was mega-lame this week to have the heels queuing up to say how great it was.
I dunno, at least when he's a heel you can say that his unlikeable tendancies are part of the act.

Have no reason to cheer for this man
I assume the turn is temporary and than IC officially breaks up with Hager and Jericho remaining heel while everyone else stays face. Sammy and PnP as a 3 man trio is intriguing to me
