Their audience sticks around and increases a lot throughout the shows. I was expecting a huge dropoff here, but they ended with 100,000 more viewers than they started with! The Inner Circle Parlay topping in views is an indication of what we're in for when it comes to Blood and Guts numbers with no President Speech, it's looking to be big. What Darby is able to do is nuts. It's not a shock to me he main evented the first three unopposed Dynamites when he keeps drawing numbers and demo like he does, with the competition to be had that night. 10 deserves some credit too, it was just a great match. Next week's the big boy, wouldn't be shocked if the show started lower, but still over a million, and then when Blood and Guts starts we see a huge spike.

That says to me that the Dynamite audience wants fresh faces, and they're building their brand using talent that the mainstream viewers may not have heard of prior to AEW's launch. I consider that a good thing, because while Mox, Jericho, Miro, etc. may all be ex WWE guys, the kiss of death is when your homegrown talent aren't bringing in the numbers on their own, so to speak.

DVR viewing over the past five days has brought the total viewership up to 1.5 million since the live viewership was only 59% of the total which was abnormally low. So there's your proof that the Biden speech was a big culprit.

Heard some rumors that TNT have been asking for Darby to be in the main event more. Apparently the execs love his look and think he has a lot of cross platform promotion

Apparently the execs love his look and think he has a lot of cross platform promotion It's wild because Cody had said that in promos leading up to his title match he lost to Darby, that the network loved him and that his talk of being this reject was misplaced, and I mean, maybe there was a lot of truth in there. I could definitely see it, he does stand out in a crowd and strike a chord with a lot of people, judging by ones who imitate the facepaint. Like, I absolutely get why a portion of fans do not like him or are wary of him, but I definitely get why he's being pushed, he's a star.

I'm really loving this Darby run so I'm glad he is drawing and that both the company and network has faith in him. The dude is really freaking good

Yeah, it's like, I don't care much for Darby myself, and sometimes I wonder why he's such a focal point of the show, but then I remember that I didn't care much for Jeff Hardy either and my opinion is probably wrong. They have the same appeal and intangible charisma.

Unless there's a big news event the next couple of days, I'd expect Blood and Guts to do really good numbers.

He still reminds me of the love-child between Hardy, Foley and Mysterio: Hardy’s charisma, Foley’s desire to put his body on the line and not only the “smaller than most” circumstance of Rey but bringing fourth an innovative style, albeit differently, like Rey did back in the day. And beyond all of them he has a very unique physical sense of showmanship.

Nearly doubling their viewership through DVR numbers is crazy. Really suggests AEW by and large is a show where people aren't satisfied just looking up results or Youtube clips.
