For those who do not wish to watch the video - It's allegedly Tessa Blanchard and hubby Daga.

I know they're talented, but after the Ive debacle, do you really want another problem child on your hands?

Massively talented, so they're are a big "get." However, I'd only feel comfortable if they were placed on double, super-secret probation to prove themselves.
Of course, with daddy on the roster, they may keep themselves in check a bit better.

I know they're talented, but after the Ive debacle, do you really want another problem child on your hands? Indeed, this is how I feel as well. What if they ask Tessa to do the job for Shida, Britt, or Jade? Will she have a hissy fit feeling they are "below her" given her huge ego despite her checkered past? Sadly, I can see this happening because she's been very unprofessional in the past, to put it mildly.

Tessa would be a big get for the women's division so I think it might be worth at least giving her a trial run to see if she can behave herself. If she really hasn't made an effort to change I doubt she'd last long.

If she really hasn't made an effort to change I doubt she'd last long. That’s where I’m at. She is one of the best women wrestlers out there. But she needs to be on a short leash. If she doesn’t cause issues and hopefully has grown then good wrestling cures all. If she is a locker room cancer, then get her out of there as fast as you can. I can look past almost anything in lieu of a great product. Maybe that reflects poorly on me, but at the same time, I try very hard to separate the art from the performer. Hopefully she will make it easy for me to watch her. And it’s sad I have to do that because she was at one time my favorite woman’s wrestler until all the racist stuff came out.

Daga is something who really never had strong creative behind him, even in LU when he was just given a big sword, with the way he currently looks, if AEW ever brings him maybe he can be their version of Angel Garza?

Hey, remember when they gave Ivelisse a shot despite her reputation and she left under a cloud to the surprise of no-one? Good times.
I doubt they'll sign Tessa given her behaviour toward other members of the roster and a partner promotion. She's not worth the headache.

Yeah her and Daga seem to be a package deal these days.
Tessa’s a hell of a lot more talented than Ivelise. So I think she’s worth the risk.
If she can keep her mouth shut and not be a prima donna. I think deserves a chance.

Wrestling is one of those things where you really have to seperate performer from art since so many wrestlers are scumbags, especially those from the 80's and 90's.

Is Daga really controversial? Or is his controversy that he's just married to Tessa?
In any case as it was discussed in the women's division, she has so much upside it's ridiculous, what holds her back is her dumbass self. She's way better than Ivelisse, which isn't a knock to the workrate Ivelisse has, but she's a generational talent and has proven as such. If, and it's a big if, she keeps her head on straight, she'll flourish, but this ain't Impact, it wouldn't be in WWE either, she'd need to hav grown and learn.
We'll see if there's any actual merit to this eventually.

Not all too familiar with those two, so I'm a bit let down. Based on the thread title, I was expecting Enzo and Cass.

The one thing I hope happens or is happening right now is Tony Khan is consulting members of the roster, especially POC. Khan seems to have a good relationship with the roster that I’m sure they would be honest with him about something like this. One of my favorite aspects of AEW is that there seems to be a harmony in the locker room and seems like everyone gets along and feels like they are contributing. And if Tessa can gel with the roster and everyone is for the most part fine with her, then things should be fine, unless she acts up again and says horrible things.
This whole thing is a high risk but high reward situation to me.
