Has Tessa been working anywhere since she burned Impact to demonstrate she's now reliable and has learned her lesson and deserves a second chance? Has she extended olive branches and started to make amends with all the people she was sh*tty to?
if she's going to have a redemption arc, shouldn't she be taking indie dates now things are opening up and demonstrating that she's changed, rather than sitting at home until a major promotion comes calling. Even without the racism and friction, she proved she was unreliable when she stopped co-operating with impact while champion. What are AEW going to have to do? Have her pre-emptively do the job at the end of a mammoth dark taping at the start of her feuds? It's the only way to be certain she'll fulfil her obligations.

www.wrestlinginc.com/news/2020/06/big-swole-says-tessa-blanchard-wisest-choice-is-aew-671913/Big Swole is pretty positive about the prospect and generally has seemed more chill to Tessa than the general public has been. Diamante (and Kiera Hogan) also firmly had Tessa's back when the whole thing came to light. I don't think this excuses Tessa's actions, or makes her more worthwhile than multiple perfectly good wrestlers that AEW doesn't seem to want to keep (I feel like Davienne and Allysin Kay are unlikely to be more trouble than Tessa, and would be better fits to the current roster, but neither has been back since her first match). But I wouldn't be surprised if that's enough for Khan and co to decide that it's a non-issue, especially in light of how they swept the abuse allegations against Darby Allin under the rug.

I'd way rather not. Tessa's thoroughly demonstrated she's too much of a headache to bother with and it's not like she's a big name to offset it in any way.

Big Swole seemed ready to tear her head off, so unless they've smoothed things over it could get ugly.

I read the article and Swole's comments (both of which came from last June, hot off Tessa's burning bridges with Impact), and I wouldn't exactly call them warm and fuzzy or even forgiving. Just that she thinks Tessa coming to AEW would be the best professional choice for her.

Reminds me of when the talent was surveyed backstage in 2002 about the nWo coming in. Only Hunter and Vince approved so it overrode the whole locker room and there they were.

For those who don't want to watch the video (at the start of the thread), I'm worried about the rumor her first possible storyline will be that she is a kayfabe (and likely shoot as we know) racist. Apparently, she'll be kayfabe redeemed for her racism at the end of the storyline. I pray to the Wrestling Gods they don't go in this direction.

after what Tessa pulled she deserves to be blackballed from the business for life So should we blackball Vince and the WWE who done Worst shit over the years? She said a lot of BS and was in the wrong. But people in wrestling have said and done worst and they have jobs and some still gets praised.

Idk about him in AAA..but what I know of Daga he is very good in ring...idk about that overall character though.
Tessa is a very IMO not worth it endeveavour especially not when you already have the ammount of women AEW has becuse like Ive it is not a matter of IF but simply when something sets her off and people then immediately regret the signing....and also especially when you just got rid of Ive idk why you would wanna risk bringing in someone who is 100 times an even bigger potential problem.
if the signings are even true that is.

You're basing this off a twitter rando who simply says he has a "indy source". I think it's ridiculous to post this like it's legitimate and then branch off it as such.

If Tessa had shown any kind of acceptance of what she's said or done and remorse for it, I'd be willing to give her a chance. Getting married and having several months away from wrestling can be enough to make people reassess their behaviour. A deal where AEW can easily cut ties with her if trouble brews would be worth it in those circumstances.
But she's never owned anything she's done. Until she does, history is just going to repeat itself. No matter how good she is, I don't think she's worth the hassle.

Wasn't her response to all of the allegations something like, "We all make mistakes"? Yeah, because (allegedly) bullying other women and trying to get them blacklisted from the industry are things you can just write off as mistakes....

She went dark on the issue for a long time, then she finally addressed it by basically saying "everything's okay now because *I* forgive myself".

They've invested a lot into making Thunder Rosa a star.
I can't see Tessa joining a company where she isn't immediately going to be pushed to the top.
Sounds like a disaster in the making to me.

Srsly. Just nah. Pass. Not necessary. Women’s division is doing just peachy. Maybe look for younger talent or outlier talent from different sources. And Daga’s good. I’ve enjoyed the hell out of him even in person but..lots of really good talent in AEW. So yeah. Hope they just pass.
