Vikings release Jeff Gladney who was a 1st rounder last year. The reason being a domestic violence arrest and indictment.

I know they do these things, they take chances for talent, they do it pretty consistently. I mean not that anyone noticed but DeAndre Baker is on the Chiefs...

Is there a reason why deshaun Jackson isn’t on the commissioner’s list at this point ? I know he’s showed up to Texans training camp but it was to not get fined but he’s not really taking part and unless and until his potential legal issues are sorted out then I don’t see why he should anywhere near the Texans facility, or that’s it’s reported that teams in the league are inquiring as to a potential trade. Why would you trade for a player who possibly could be unavailable to you at some point this season ? It makes no sense.

I think that's why, because nothing will be resolved legally this season and pulling a player out for an entire season will get strong resistance from the NFLPA (despite the reason why.)

The real kicker is that in this case it would be the best for all parties, Watson included, if they did put him on the list. He can’t possibly focus nor can the team entertain playing him, so forcing him to be there is both a distraction and a potential recipe for him to hurt himself half-assing some team drill that his contract obligates him to participate in.

RGIII looks to be slightly retired
He will call College games for ESPN and some NFL games but he said he would return to Football if he gets the right opportunity
He's only 31. You would thought he was older. Crazy to think him and Luck had such short careers but Luck too himself out the game while the knee injuries took Griff out

Sounds like something Philly would do. The Houston beat reporter on Sirius this morning said there is nothing to this and Philly is just one of several teams to call lately.

I can still see him lying on the field after he torn the ACL. was that playoff game against the Seahawks ? I think it was because that’s the team that popped into my head when typing out the first sentence.

It was against the Seahawks in the WC game Biggest problem is you got the feeling Mike Shanahan never believed in RGIII cause it still made no sense to give up all that capital for him and then draft Kirk Cousins as well in the 4th round First chance he got to replace RGIII he did. Griff was always going be a work in progress but he never actually got time to learn the game before his legs gave up. That athleticism that made him special and what has made Lamar special took him out and the arm talent wasn't good enough to get by on top of him not being able to read defenses

FOOTBALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Can't wait to see Mike McCarthy loafing around clueless on the sidelines tonight and wishing Aaron Rodgers was his QB. What a talentless hack of a coach.
Glad he's on the Cowboys

If a QB is just a rudimentary passer and struggles to read defenses, he will eventually get eaten alive no matter how athletic he is. To RH3’s credit, he was always better than Tebow as a passer, but teams can find ways to contain you if you are truly one dimensional. The Texans always struggled against the Colts because they took away Watson’s scrambling options and forced him to be strictly a pocket passer. Turns out he’s a lot less scary if he can’t play Houdini every 5 plays and make you look dumb. RG3 got similarly exposed. Michael Vick (deadly in pocket or when scrambling), he wasn’t.

True but it is not like he wouldn't have learned The hope is like a natural athlete in basketball, you want the other skills to come in as one fades. Ideally, you learn to read defenses and keep those skills so he would been a true duel threat QB. He had the arm and could have outran you if nothing was open which is what made him dangerous. Watson has become a true duel threat. Obviously Mahomes. Russ Wilson can still run when he has to. Josh Allen is trying to reach that same factor. RGIII could have gotten there but once he lost the legs his game cratered
