The commercials really f***ed with things, I’d stick to PPV for any future B&G matches.
I really didn’t care for the finish. I figured it would be a gimmicky finish, although I thought they’d be about to f*** up Sammy and Jericho would surrender, and the crash pad was really poorly done in my opinion.
The body of the match itself was pretty damn good tho. However, please never do that weird gap between the cage and the ring again. Just seemed like it was begging for some sort of freak injury to happen

I think part of the timing with commercial breaks was how they had to set up the ring due to arena. If you could do it quicker then you could do it a touch later and not have the last commercial break where it was

It was great until Jericho forgot cameras exist (or production f***ed up).

Showing Jericho and MJF clearly talking about what to do next took steam out of the ending as well.

It was very good when it was very good. Kind of got aimless toward the end. I thought the Jericho fall felt like slow motion but I get that it’s to set up MJF as an uber heel so I get it.
I’m glad we got a match like this on free TV if the idea is that we’ll have to pay for it going forward, if that makes sense.

Non sequitur to the biggest discussion but I think Sammy Guevara almost died like 6 different times.
I felt really bad for him, especially the time he almost impaled himself on the loose turnbuckle (thankfully he only...maimed his hand?)

I do agree the commercials sucked. I wish they could have gotten the second hour commercial free somehow, but it is what it is
I assume the next time this match happens it's a PPV spectacle, so for everything it gave, I thought it absolutely delivered

Yeah, I think Sammy had a star making performance but it will sadly get overshadowed.

I will say, the idea of an insurance company like State Farm sponsoring a violent deathmatch is hilarious.

It delivered everything it promised and I thought it was a phenomenal match. Of course because the ending was slightly off, some fans are going to be unbearable.

I mean, in terms of commercials, I watch through Fite so none of that affected me at all.
As someone else said, sort of glad they had this test drive to build interest in potentially paying for the next one.

Didn’t care for ad breaks but, I like nasty heels doing nasty heel things.

thought it was a great match didn't really have a problem witht he ending, kind of reminded me of the ending of the Roman-Jey Uso match where Jey quit cause he didn't want roman to hurt Jimmy

Commercials were annoying, the ending made sense, idk why there are people comparing to the Revolution ending, its baffling.

I'm kind of wondering where all this discourse on the finish is even coming from? I've really only seen people either cracking jokes about it or just saying they thought it wasn't great while some people are responding like people are declaring the company a perpetual dumpster fire over it.

AEW’s gotta stopped with the gimmick’d bump stuff.

I don't know guys. I've been watching wrestling since like 2000. I've seen dozens upon dozens of gigantic bumps onto clearly loaded crash pads. I think they could've shot this one better but I've seen worse. I didn't care because I was invested in the story. For all the production issues, they got the moment where MJF thanked him perfectly. That was the moment. The fall was the fall but that was what sells you on this.
