Miro: You can throw yourself down all the steps you want...
This made it all worth it for me

Fightful is saying he's fine or as fine as you can be in this situation and there's no concern that he can't compete next week. Just wrap some tape around his ribs and he'll be good to go.

Wasn't he a stuntman? He rolled down them. The bump itself didn't look that rough to me. I will say though if that arm shit was a work, well done. I think he has done stunt stuff, but if nothing else, he was/is a skateboarder, and a fall like this is probably not exactly unknown territory to him.

I mean grinding a rail will end with you tumbling down some stairs at least once...

He’s going to know every pharmacist in Seattle by their full names and where they got their degrees in a decade or so. I'm just picturing everytime Tim The Toolman Taylor went to the hospital.

Miro’s line about “the man who’s not afraid to die...against the man who’s not afraid to kill” was goddamn gold.
Now Miro is going to tear Darby limb from injured limb next week while Sky and Page realize they’ve made a titanic mistake.

Only shoulder is "Injured" Perfect for facing a guy whose kill move is literally sitting on your back and cranking your damn neck...

Darby is a f***ing mad man but he also obviously needs to be protected from himself, so to speak.
Off rip, he's too valuable to the company to get hurt on some ol' dumb shit like this. "Throwing somebody down stairs" is always gonna be a reckless spot just due to the unpredictability of...you know, falling down f***ing stairs. Even the best body control doesn't change the reliance on luck for avoiding a disaster. And this was actually somewhat safe in the sense that Darby got a chance to control his fall. It's a bad idea of a spot that needs to be retired.

I don't if this has been brought up but another reason the B&G crash pad spot was so underwhelming, is they legit threw a dude down stairs 45 minutes before hand. I thought they said they were trying not to overlap.

I thought it was a really dangerous spot. There's some bounce when you fall down stairs like that and with enough momentum, he could have gone over the rails.
I just think it's a matter of time until Darby gets seriously injured. He takes way too much abuse on a weekly basis.

If you're booking a show around a finish to a cage match and its a safer stunt, than one 45 minutes before it takes a way from the over all impact. They also did this when the IC returned and they had this big awaking moment turning face and destroying MJF & friends backstage. Cut to a half hour later, QT Marshall walks out on Cody and his goons have an awakening moment turning heels and beating up Cody and friends. I use awakening cause it felt like a turn on a dime in both cases, like a movie monster jump out at you, one just felt like a bigger deal earlier in the show.. As for my thoughts on WARGAMES. The B&G ending was fine on paper. I feel there was a couple things working against it. Roman and Jey just did this ending better last year. Jericho looked like he was gassed or knocked loopy. The camera angle not hiding the fact it was a cardboard (I shouted at my tv "Metal doesn't bend like that!") It wasn't as bad a sparklers destroying the ring at Revolution. It felt more like The Lion King than any thing else. I know they had a couple decent face promos but IC never really did anything to buy them as faces.

Darby going down the stairs and Jericho getting thrown off a cage did nothing to diminish either thing for me. I wasn't even thinking about the Darby moment when the Jericho moment happened. And it's still a crazy f***ing bump. Why are we acting like a man didn't fall 20 feet off a cage? Yeah he landed safely, but per reports Jericho didn't even use a crash pad, so the aspect that Jericho's moment can't exist on its own because Darby's moment happened seems very ridiculous and is really stretching at this point.

Fightful is saying he's fine or as fine as you can be in this situation and there's no concern that he can't compete next week. He is a skater so, he’s probably found the safest way to fall down a flight of steps without breaking every bone in the process. Repetition is a good teacher. *JR voice* How do you learn to fall down a flight of steps?
