I get people upset it might've telegraphed Orange winning a bit too much, but I didn't see PAC winning one because they don't normally do Heel vs Heel and two because of PAC not being there full time. I thought it was a good dress down promo like Omega just seems like he has better things to do. I'm sure he'll regret that There is no better choice for a packed house than having Orange in a world title match with Omega. It will be incredible. There was nothing wrong with the segment itself, and also your reasoning is logical for why people shouldn't expect Pac to win. Something being predictable doesn't change how basic storytelling works though. I mean, we all knew the Avengers were going to beat Thanos somehow, but they still didn't telegraph it to make it look like Thanos didn't stand a chance. That would be shit writing. They should have done Orange vs Pac and THEN have Kenny and Orange have this segment/promo afterward, maybe even immediately after the match.

Kenny in this persona comes off as such a douche in all the best ways to me. Feels so natural as a heel. Honestly, I never knew I wanted a match more than I want Orange vs Omega. Just a perfect pairing to me. This segment hyped me so much and Nak carrying the other titles had me rolling.

I didn't think the segment ran too long. Kenny was going over all of Orange's traits and demeaning them. The only thing missing was him ending it with "you're not even in my league, brother."

I like Kenny's mic work even as a face more than others here. But he's really in his element as a sleazebag heel. I see Callis being along for the ride and running with someone considers family than a necessary mouthpiece. And he wouldn't be close to the first wrestler who could hold his own on the mic and still have a manager anyway. OSW Reviews have often said Bret Hart's best promos are when he's complaining about something and feeling mistreated, and for Omega, I think some of his best promos are when he's being a condescending dick. I don't think it necessarily reflects the real Kenny, who by accounts tends to be shy and private, but I do feel like he's got a lot of justified pride in his work, and parlaying that into a big ego trip works wonders for him.

Funny enough both Bucks & Omega best heel attributes are reflections of their success turned up to 12. Omega has a lot of pried and knows he is on the top of wrestling for a reason,he takes pride on trying to be something completely unique and puts alot of effort, this comes well a lot when he is being eccentric, condesncing and acting like he is the best wrestler around The Bucks always were the guys that did thing their way and were seen as those "young brats" defying the old school, they are very genre-savvy .This comes great as a heel because they know which buttons to push and already have a brand of making fun of wrestling.

I feel that the criticisms of Kenny’s promo style are part and parcel of a certain demographic of the wrestling fanbase that dislikes the Elite in general. He’s super sarcastic, his inflection comes across as snarky, and he makes a lot of super esoteric and borderline fourth wall breaking references. Tennis enthusiasts and the like are going to hate that, and baggage aside, I see how it’s a fair opinion if you’re somebody for whom traditional realism is the most important thing in wrestling. I, personally, love it and find Kenny to be the best all-around pro wrestler of all time. I'm a big Omega fan and I don't think he is good on the mic. He doesn't have many weaknesses but that's one of them in my opinion.

My only...ONLY problem with the segment was the missed opportunity with Kenny giving Orange's shades to Nakazawa.
Camera pans to Kenny putting the shades on Nak, pan back to OC wearing a larger pair.
Rinse and repeat until Cassidy is wearing those ridiculously huge novelty sunglasses you got at amusement parks.

This is the match I've waited the most from Omega's reign so far!

I'll take ownership of one point. I thought the segment went on too long and wore out it's welcome after Omega took Orange's sunglasses. I didn't think it was necessary for him to talk about what kind of glasses they were, how much they cost, give them to Nakazawa, and go on about how much better they look on him than OC. I thought it could have ended earlier and the fact that it felt like it had so many false finishes took away from my enjoyment.

People saying the promo telegraphed the outcome for next week, while I’m sitting here still saying the smart money is on PAC. Honestly, I’m still thinking they go to a draw and we get a triple threat between them. Which is a good way to keep OC’s mystique and continue the rivalry between him and PAC.

Yeah, I’ve never thought Kenny has been a 10 on the mic (and probably never will) but he still can be really good at times and I definitely thought this was some of his best stuff. I don’t think anything will touch some of his new Japan stuff but it’s getting close. I didn’t feel it went on too long but I can see how it did for some. To me, hearing a live promo between two guys (..sort of) and an AMPED crowd overshadowed all of that. Twas great. Kenny, and Tha Supah Elite give McMahon-Helmsey-Era vibes except self-aware. Which comes off great and campy lol and like heels more importantly. People saying the promo telegraphed the outcome for next week, while I’m sitting here still saying the smart money is on PAC. I think, triple threats being a rarity in AEW be damned, this might be what Tony Kay goes with.

If Omega vs Cassidy doesn’t happen, I’d be happy for the Three Way. I’d imagine a three way between Kenny/PAC/OC would be tremendous. I don’t think they can lose either way they choose honestly.

What’s interesting is there’s a lot of shit there between PAC and Kenny, PAC and OC. And now Kenny and OC.

Also, I’m wondering if the reason why they had this segment was to gauge interest in a Omega vs Cassidy match. It might nit be the first thing you think of when you think of a PPV main event, but judging by the live reaction to the segment, I’d say there is legit interest in the match. Maybe they shouldn’t have telegraphed, but in reality, it feels like it would be a really hot match that I believe will draw.

Interestingly, PAC is front and center of the Double or Nothing poster.

Interestingly, PAC is front and center of the Double or Nothing poster. Doesn’t necessarily mean anything. Britt was prominent on the Revolution poster originally and she ended up on the pre show, for example. Plus that poster came out a few weeks ago, they may not have realized their full plan by then.

F***, you people need to stop me wanting Omega/PAC/Cassidy.
That’s a “pre-order the PPV as soon as goddamn possible” match.

I’d love to see just OC vs Omega, but if making it a triple threat is what gets OC into this main event, I’m here for it.
Seriously, until Wednesday when this segment aired I hadn’t even considered going to DoN. Now I’m looking at flights and hotels.
