Just a thought with no real evidence behind it, but it's clear TNT's parent company considers HBOMax to be a centerpiece with all of the exclusive content.
I don't think Dynamite will be a streaming platform exclusive anytime soon, but as the streaming wars get hotter and hotter, what do you think the odds are that the bigger corporate execs at AT&T make some offers to Tony Khan to basically have AEW do special events for them on HBOMax, if not all the PPV's?

They advertised HBO Max at inception. I can almost guarantee at the very least they will make the catalogue available there eventually. They could make it a PPV option as well if they want potentially more people to buy them/see them.

I think Turner provided the platform and the time slot on TNT as a "Wait and see" but all parties seem happy with the performance of the company. I could very easily see Revolution, All Out, Double or Nothing, etc. being on HBOMax within the next 5 years.

HBOMax is like a “get for this movie then cancel” platform right now but AEW ppvs and special events would make it a keeper.

I switched up my AT&T plan (from the unlimited plan I’d had for more than a decade to...an unlimited plan [but now with mobile hotspot]) and ended up getting HBOMax as part of it. I’d already subscribed to it before launch (via having an HBONow subscription) so I cancelled that and rolled with the new, essentially free (it didn’t add anything extra to my phone bill) sub. Which is a long winded way of saying; whether as a stand alone or something tied to your phone service it’s absolutely worth getting.

I think odds are good that within the next year. AEW starts own streaming service. Or sells content to one like HBO Max. Right now HBO Max doesn't have live sports. That could change once they get hockey and they could add AEW content and ppvs to that in 2022 if there's a deal.

I think with Dynamite being #1 this week, AT+T execs in charge of exploiting as much of Warners' properties for profit will have started to ask around. But does TK want to end the PPV for money model? If the audience is growing, if they're getting bigger buys, is it worth giving that up to go to a service? Then again, Turner is the most important thing to the company, as Tony has said, so if they want to work something out, they will.

I can see them selling their content to a streaming service, including backlog of Dynamite, a backlog of the PPVs, and backlog plus new episodes of Dark and Elevation. I don’t see them abandoning the PPV model yet, though.

As of now, past Dynamites and PPVs are on B/R Live, so it might be a matter of just migrating the content to HBO Max or integrating B/R Live into Max.

If they put Dynamite and the PPVs on HBO Max, I would so sign up for it.

I feel confident that one of the reasons Dark is so long sometimes is that they're building a catalog of content to put on streaming. They'd be crazy if they didn't. I assume HBO Max gets AEW content by 2022-2023 at latest.
Update - I could also see a world where BR Live gets folded into HBO Max at some point to help it compete with Peacock and we get streaming sports on there, too.

Dave or someone pointed that out as such. So they have enough back catalog to sell to streaming. I really don't know whos going to go out of their way to see a Capital Vices match, but you never know.

Meltzer has reported as such (with regards to the seemingly excessive length of the prelim shows).

I think a lot depends on if B/R Live is integrated into HBO Max or not. The more likely route, if they don't already do it, is Warner bundling HBO Max and B/R Live together like Disney does with Disney+ and ESPN+. Otherwise, I can see AEW Dynamite ending up on HBO Max, but leaving the PPV's and special shows like Fyter Fest on B/R Live.
It is also worth noting that Peacock really needed the content from the WWE Network merger. That's not really an issue with HBO Max as the Warner Media Empire has a lot more content available for its platforms than NBCU does. The biggest problems with HBO Max were the confusing naming, horrible launch, and just generally dumb decisions made by AT&T.

I just need HBO Max to come to LG smart tvs and I'll be grand considering it will allow my parents more stuff to watch and maybe cancel their cable package.
