I am a Warriors fan.............and I think the play in game has been monumentally good for the NBA
Bad teams are incentivized less to throw in the towel early because the carrot on a string of a playoff spot is more achievable at 10th then 8th.Teams like the Mavs,Lakers and Blazers were playing to win late in the season instead of resting and not carrying if they win or lose because falling to 7th is a bad scenario for the play in,in typical 1-8 seeding if you are already locked in then falling from 6-7 or 5-7 isn't much of a big deal. This season there was minimal tanking in the NBA,almost all with young rebuilding teams

At the end of the day, if you want to be a champion you need to win games. So the Play In Game is well within the "framing" of the sport.

How can the play-in tournament be considered "unfair"?
