Next week's Dynamite in Estero Florida is doing really badly, wrestletix's latest update has it at less than 1900 sold in an 8 thousand capacity arena.....so unless they start giving away tickets or something massive is announced for the show it's going to be hard to hide all these empty seats on TV.
Seriously, someone needs to tell Tony to stop running Florida every couple of months, they've run the market dry.

So they're close to selling out what they expected, but yes, they're running the market ragged.

To give less of a defense and more of a wider situation we have, it looks as though the next few months are going to be more widespread, especially with the California shows and potential future West coast shows to diversify where they go. And the potential London show in Craven Cottage might be thrown into the mix soon.

I suppose another thing to consider is they may get good deals on arenas in FL given family ties, so it may be cheaper for them to have 3K in an 8K arena than to go spend a ton of money on a larger arena and draw 8-10K, I guess.

Like, don't get me wrong, I agree, we're just now getting into a stage where America is opening up (well...more open than before in some states) and more shows can be organized.

I think they originally planned this all around Chris Jericho's cruise. When they cruise didn't happen, all those fans weren't a part of the Estero show. When he canceled, they just kept the shows.

Yeah a lot of states were very strict with social distancing in events. ROH shows before their shutdown looked awful but that was because Maryland (Baltimore specifically) had very strict rules about where people could be seated.

Running Florida around Revolution makes sense in terms of production costs and probably makes up for the gate you're not drawing. And they'll be able to hide it. WCW would draw 1500 fans in some large arenas and it would be fine. Just turn down the lights and only shoot certain rows.
The bigger trend I've seen is AEW is doing well in larger urban areas like Boston, San Antonio, and NYC whereas they're struggling in areas like Fort Myers and South Carolina (Jacksonville is an exception and the cost of running their own building is pretty low). WWE is seeing an opposite trend where they've had a harder time in bigger markets but are still able to pull out some impressive numbers relative to the population in smaller parts of the country.

Yeah, New Jersey is lifting their vaccine and mask mandate and New York is going to be next. Basically if you want to go to a show without a mask and without getting a shot, you'll be able to soon. For all intents and purposes, it's going to be the way it was in February, 2020.

Running where youre running the PPV makes sense for logistics, travel, and cost expenses, but also there's no card for the show. Yeah it'll be PPV fallout, but matches do help move tickets, look at the Rampage for this week. So I'll wait to see if that gets them much more closer to selling out. 1000 tickets isn't a TON to move.

Double or Nothing's first day sales resulted in AEW's first million dollar gate.

It's basically a sellout already: Yeah, I think you maybe try running The United Center this year... potentially setting up All Out as a World Title match for CM Punk?
