THAT'S ONLY BECAUSE DIZNEY BROUGHT ALL THE THEATER TICKETS TO HIDE LOW SALES! And they didn't do this for any of their other movies because... It's a conspiracy. People actually bought tickets for Madea's Family Funeral but they switched the ticket stubs to make it look like Captain Marvel was more popular than it actually was. It's ok, we'll be satisfied when my recuts of the MCU that removes everyone but human Earthlings comes out!

Still kind of hilarious/sad how angry some people got over its success. “Captain Marvel will be the MCU’s first box office bomb, guaranteed!” It made over a billion dollars. “Yeah? Well... it didn’t deserve to!” "It only made a billion dollars because it was released between Infinity War and Endgame!" So was Ant-Man and the Wasp, and that made $400 million less. My favorite thing was Brie trolling all those people by posting a picture of herself in a Jedi cosplay after rumors got out about her being in a Star Wars movie. They went ballistic.

She definitely knows how to have a little fun at the expense of those who hate her most. I still kinda want her to be in a Star Wars movie just for the Fandom Menace meltdown.

It really is incredibly sad that years later people are still hung up on the Brie Larson thing when if you actually listen to what she said it was basically just, "Hey, uh, can we get some movie reviewers that aren't just old white men that don't actually reflect the demographics of the movie-going public? Wouldn't that be nice?"

I want the next Star Wars lead to be a Gun-Gun played by Brie Larson, just because.

I guess it was really in your face. It would be okay if the MCU women kicked ass by itself, but the shot with them posing together was like a big, "...get it?" at the end of it all. It was so forced. It was a more subtle and cooler scene in Infinity War when Scarlett Witch saved Nat and Okoye from Midnight

"Hey, uh, can we get some movie reviewers that aren't just old white men that don't actually reflect the demographics of the movie-going public? Wouldn't that be nice?" "But how will I, a middle-aged straight white man, know if this movie about empowering a black, gay, transwoman with both physical and mental disabilities will speak to me on a personal level if an old white guy doesn't tell me?" The really funny thing is these same people are the types who also tell us to ignore the critics when movies they like get torn apart and movies they don't like get praised.

That whole Hulk/Black Widow "romance" scene in Age of Ultron was so bad. It felt like something that should've been on Women in Refrigerators. One of my biggest mistakes was writing a review for FAN that said Age of Ultron was good. I was dead wrong. It sucks ass.

A lot of Dark World but I have to say the Warriors Three getting offed without much fight in Ragnarok is up there after the bigger role they played in the first two.

Then the more I thought about it after the fact, the more things I didn't like about it. Now it's down there with Iron Man 2 and Thor 2 as my least favorite MCU movies.

“Hux’s mom” in the Last Jedi Yes, this was a stereotypical MCU Moment in a franchise where that doesn't belong. Wait....so we are going off the board, Jack? I guess I can start with the non-MCU MCU stuff, then. And that can be safely headed off with: The toads/lightning line. Dudepeel. Dancin' Peter Parker. Fant4stic, just Fant4stic. I like Amazing Spider-Man 1, but it has a lot of moments like this, especially, "And if you look over here, we have our doomsday weapon that we leave plugged in for some reason...", "I'm just going to put my name on my camera for no f***ing reason," and, "Crane operators ASSEMBLE!"

Wow, I really love how this worst Marvel movie scenes thread turned into let's all make fun of people who complain about Brie Larson thread.

Wow, I really love how this worst Marvel movie scenes thread turned into let's all make fun of people who complain about Brie Larson thread. I just rewatched Captain Marvel two days ago and, while its not my favorite Marvel movie, I felt Brie Larson was fantastic in the role. Care to elaborate?

The Mandarin reveal in Iron Man 3. It's rare that a single scene can immediately make me go "**** this movie." Easily my least favorite MCU entry alongside Age of Ultron (overlong and ultimately pointless) and Civil War (literally put me to sleep in the theater). Ditto, also because the presentation of the Mandarin to that point was kind of intriguing, and Guy Pearce's character just wasn't. I'm kind of the same way with AOU and CW too. AOU, just cause I thought it had all the worst Joss Whedon tropes jamming up any sense of tension. And CW being the movie where the Avengers have all that in-fighting... except that it's also following all the other movies where the Avengers had all that in-fighting. I just can't care about a group splintering if they were never a completely cohesive group to begin with.

Any of the post credit sequences that weren't worth the wait, particularly if it was something from a comic that meant nothing to me.
