Didn't the Dirtsheets report that she had been at the Performance Centre and subsequently re-signed? Where's the lie... This is also my problem. Like wasn't the whole Aleister rant on them that he was angry that they reported she was in the PC at all? Like I guess the rumor mill which is started and why she was there (To re-sign potentially) and he hated the "shit' it was stirring up (I believe he also ranted on false claims that he and Vince weren't close or he was being held down creatively but this I swear was also included). And in the end... she was at the PC and here she is... re-signed and on Smackdown. So I'm trying to figure out exactly what the catty remark is. If you're not going to be specific and you're not going to be able to say why you came back and no longer support the Union idea then maybe stop taking open swipes at the very things that also reported on you trying to get Unionization out there and heavily reported what was going on with you and gave you traction? Like a lot of stuff I've seen from Vega recently feels like it could insanely backfire on her and she needs to stop laying down what could potentially be easy pitfalls later.

Yeah, the C4 thing is a WWE deal. I got a survey from WWE about it a week or so ago. Anyway: THE RETURN OF ZELINA VEGA, WHAT HAPPENED AND WHAT'S NEXT By Mike Johnson on 2021-07-03 10:20:00 We see Zelina Vega is back, but WWE acted on Smackdown last night that she was never gone and she just hasn't been wrestling. What is going on? Why would she return after the way she was dumped by the company? Is this a case of they brought her back to cut her throat and dump her? Is Aleister Black back too? What happens to her Twitch feed now?
These are a lot of questions! I will address them all here as, after making some phone calls last night and this morning, this is what we can ascertain about the situation. We are told that even after Vega was released, there were segments of the company who felt she should have been retained and not released. We are told those segments of the company pushed for conversations between the two sides to continue. They eventually did and we are told that after a long period of back and forth conversations, WWE execs apologized to Vega and made her an offer to return. Eventually, she decided to go through that open door and signed back with the company. There are differing accounts as to when that happened. One source told me May. Another told me it was much sooner than that but all sides opted to keep it quiet so they could strategize a return. Why they waited until now, only WWE could answer but they also signed Eva Marie and had her sitting around for nine months. Vega was backstage last week but had not been at any TVs beyond that in recent months. So, why did she return? The two sides made amends and came to a compromise. That is how business works. We are told everyone came to an understanding on the other sides' perspective. She grew up wanting to be in WWE. Why wouldn't she return if all sides cleared the air? As far as cutting Vega's throat off, they announced she's in Money in the Bank, which is already a stronger push as a wrestler then she had received on the main roster. She had been mostly used as a manager with the exception of the Asuka bouts right before she was released last year. To me, that's a good sign, especially since her promo was great last night. They plugged her into the Liv Morgan story. She may have lost but it wasn't like she was Barry Horowitz. It was Liv sneaking a win. If they use Vega consistently, then she's in a better position than she was on Raw. So, we'll see where it goes but the fact she's on Smackdown gives me more faith given the creative is consistently stronger on the blue brand. If she's getting wiped out every week, then I agree but I don't see last night as any sort of burial. Finally, as of now, Aleister Black is not back with the company. Like with Vega, there were some who felt his release was premature and have pushed for him to return but we haven't heard of him signing or even in deep discussions to return. It may be he wants to see how the waters are outside of WWE and if I am him, with AEW, New Japan, etc. I'd certainly want to see what is out there on the open market. As far as Twitch, to the best of my knowledge, it was ongoing, so my guess is it continues on in some form. I don't know enough about the Twitch world to tell you much about it. She herself hasn't been on Twitch in months. Her account was barely used until Black was released and he been streaming on there. About a Month or two before the reports of her at the PC she stopped. Black of course there not a lot of talk of him signing with another company because its called a No compete clause. He was just release less than a month ago. Hell none of the April releases have shown up anywhere yet.

If she turned up anywhere else after being reportedly back with WWE then fair enough, well within her rights to take her shot. But she didn't, she's done exactly what she was reported to be doing... so where's the f***ing punchline Zelina? Massive Rick James 'yeah, I remember grinding my feet on Eddie's couch' energy.

Seems she didn’t delete her unionization tweet only, she wiped her entire Twitter pre-May pretty much.

She can do whatever she wants but posts like these from any wrestler annoy me: I know I've posted it before but it feels like they've been training the current group of wrestlers to really go in on dirt sheets, I know they've probably never been a popular thing in locker rooms but there's so much open disdain for them now from wrestlers on Twitter and such. Yeah, don’t think they’ve got a picture of Meltzer up with a target on it or anything but feels like a lot of deflection and gaslighting goes on when Vince & co. can’t be the bad guys, so fans and “dirt sheets” get the ire instead. The tweet in question comes across obvious and transparent enough. Homegirls definitely feeling some heat. Made your bed. Lie amongst the dollars. I would.

This is terrific news! I missed smackdown cause of hockey on Friday night but this means the return of the Zelina segment counter for Smackdown!

Apparently she was streaming a bit ago unless Twitch has a glitch so maybe she got permission to start doing that again on the main roster?
If so, I can see this leading to Vince reversing course on talent doing Twitch.

Technically, I don't believe it was ever "No Twitch at all", it was "Anything you make from it gets taken from your downside".

Now there’s mudslinging between her and Meltzer, as she’s taken offense to something he said.

Basically Dave said that Zelina was unfairly generalizing wrestling journalists AKA "the dirsheets" in her tweets and said that while there is likely someone out there purporting to be a journalist who lied about her, there's a decent handful who do good work and report correct information. Zelina took offense with his tone (Dave uses profanity but like he wasn't being rude or aggressive in my view - no more than he typically is on his radio show) and said that she never said anything about all dirtsheet writers. That's one of those points where it's literally true that she didn't say "everyone in wrestling journalism says lies about me" but that was clearly an overarching point she was making with her tweet. If she had an issue with someone specific or something specifically reported, then call that out. When it was reported that Ricky Starks had a knee injury, he went on the record and said he didn't. That's all fine. But what she said definitely took offense with the industry writ large in my view and to say it didn't is being overly literal.
Also on a separate note - I really wish wrestlers would stop giving these Meltzer obsessed accounts any attention. Regardless of how you feel about Dave, they all post super problematic stuff all the time and have a history of super weird behavior towards people on the Observer's message board/people on Twitter. Just posting stuff with the sole purpose of making someone's life miserable is weird enough but they go very far beyond that.

Hey if Zelina got a better deal for herself and she is happy good on her.
Much like the issue Charlotte took with Meltzer a few months ago I feel that some people get mad at Dave over things that just aren't worth getting mad about in that he doesn't badmouth them but they don't like what he says. Much ado about nothing.

This situation with Zelina is especially baffling, because it sure seems like the major reporters were right about what what they reported regarding her. Granted, I’m not following this closely. But I genuinely have no idea what was done wrong.

I hope all these silly spats with female wrestlers gets Meltzer cancelled.
Cancel culture can do something positive for a change by moving wrestling journalism away from that crank in his basement being the face of it.

Is this post seriously "cancel culture is normally bad, but if these petty arguments that aren't actually about anything of any real import can get this guy I don't like to stop working that'd be nice"?
