Like If you want to work for WWE its fine. But dont call for the rights of workers and then crawl back to your old job and betray all the morals you stood for. Yeah, eh? Because there are unions in wrestling, right? Everyone squawking that she should’ve went to AEW. But wait — do they have a union? Love all the armchair analysts here expecting her to have stuck to her guns on the union thing. It’s a losing battle and it always has been. What the f*** do you people expect her to do? Quit the thing she’s loved to do her whole life and go fly the flag of some pipe dream that won’t happen anyway? Jesus Christ. Is she “crawling back to her old job?” Do we know what went on behind closed doors? Did she REALLY not want to be there anymore in the first place? She always knew there wasn’t a union and has been wrestling for years. Suddenly people are judging her and accusing her of betraying her morals? Except.. she knowingly entered the industry with all this knowledge upfront. So perhaps life isn’t as black and white as some people want to think it is. Wow, imagine that! I didnt even want her in AEW,never said I did I never even said they support unions ,so good job making stuff up there She said she quit a job to support union and workers right ,on then shutting down sources of income and she went back on said job she critized for it after it didnt gain steam. Thats hipocry, those were empty words and I will call . You can attack me personally as you want ,it is not oike she is strugglin for money or to find sources of income as she makes bank on twitch already. I said it a thousand times, good for her .I dont think she is a bad person or anything. But she was a hypocrite and most wont listen to her whenever she says something related to workers right. Its not white and black but thats is an stupid ass argument as people can come up wih their own conclusion ,disagreeing with you doesnt make it black or white

People are going to stand so high and mighty on their soapboxes because of this. Make that bank, Zelina. Plus she entertains the heck out of me, so I’m happy. Win win. 😂 Yup. Still applies. 😂 Get that chicken sis

Zelina is awesome. I was hoping to see her reunite with Andrade but if WWE is where she wants to work, I can't knock it.
I just hope they do some cool stuff with her.

God forbid caring about something and pointing it out.
Good job making the assumption none of us jave fought for worker right before Like I havent lost a cushy job before calling out my boss on his corruptive abusive bullshit.
Like I cant like her as a person and point out her flaws.
Guess im on a soapbox over here ,im f***ing off this threas, you guys can go ahead and make fun of me and insulting me as someone on a high horse for caring about someone hurting the fight for workers right on a situaion that is already borderline illegal.

But the general consensus from people has been “if she ever returns to WWE she’s a hypocrite” which I think is stupid that’s all. Whether it’s because she’s supposed to suddenly be pro-union or anti-WWE or whatever. Nobody pulled a gun on her and forced her to sign with the company in the first place so I would imagine she wanted to work there and enjoyed it while she did. I would say that it’s looking at it as a black and white situation if she goes back to WWE and is then criticized for “betraying her morals.” Did you just expect her to quit the industry altogether then? Because I’m kinda unsure what people were expecting her to do next.

Bottom line for me as I said before, she tried to fight back and was one woman in a battle that got fired and lost her job Why continue that fight when no one else is on it with you. Blend yourself into the system and get paid. Whether she goes to WWE or anywhere else is irrelevant because no one has a union and no one else is talking about If she took the most money, then fine. If her husband comes back, great. Kudos for her for standing up initially but I don't get the idea she intentionally got fired to get herself a better deal unless i'm reading it wrong on what people are saying

If wrestlers truly cared about unions it would have happened years, nay, DECADES, ago.
Zelina got fired, put out that tweet in the heat of the moment probably without putting much thought into it then realized very quickly when she saw the reaction that she was in over her head. Streaming wasn't going to be fruitful enough to be a full-time career. Her Twitch views dried up quickly when she stopped getting weekly prime time TV exposure (some recent videos aren't even cracking 1000 views when 6-12 months ago she was getting thousands upon thousands). She was always going to return to wrestling and return to a wrestling business that still doesn't support unionization. I'm not even looking down on her. I'd do the same in her position.
Cody Rhodes did similar. He put out a pro-union tweet in 2018 when he was a freelance wrestler saying wrestlers should band together. Fast forward not even 12 months and he was an executive vice president of a national promotion in a position to effect change and suddenly he had changed his tune.
People with nothing to lose can throw the idea out there as an empty platitude but in the cold light of day 99% of them won't put their neck on the line if it's going to personally cost them money.

I do worry that any union chat will just end up being dismissed as boy crying wolf empty talk the longer this thing keeps getting kicked down the road without anything actually happening.

Makes her look pretty bad
Not to mention they released her husband like three weeks ago. Gonna be an awkward Thanksgiving at the Black/Vega homestead

I don't think we're getting a union in wrestling, until there's a massive overhaul nationwide when it comes to labor rights and unions become commonplace for every job, but that's probably all I can say. Until that happens, wrestling ain't getting unionized.

I’m personally not a big fan, but this is really intriguing. Last time she was fired, I read up on her having an onlyfans account along with Twitch channel?Does she close those or did they work around it in her new contract? If it’s the earlier, I guess she found out the markets tough out there, if it’s the latter, I’m sure a lot of people in the back would want a similar deal.

Maybe she wanted to wrestle? Maybe AEW wanted to bring her in as Andrea’s mouthpiece? Maybe they gave her a good deal? Maybe they’re resigning Black? No matter where she went AEW, Impact, ROH a union isn’t coming any time soon.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Black return as well, even though I think he'd just be better off in AEW. Apparently he just said he's not going back on Twitch. And having listened to his interview with Renee, he clearly got extremely frustrated with how he was used at the end. He definitely didn't want to burn a bridge but he sounded like he wanted to move on. That's reassuring. He sounds like someone who's in it more for the art than the money. I'd hope for the best if he did return, but it'd be really hard to trust WWE to treat him properly.

If this is what she wanted I'm not going to knock her in that department but I feel like people who don't see an issue with it clowning those who see this as total dogshit optics wise really need to see their perspective in that... it totally does look like dogshit optics wise.
Like "Get that money" sure if that's what she really wanted but her whole ordeal was originally started over incidents like her OnlyFans and other means of getting income wasn't it? That's why she started the whole UNIONIZE talk and left. Now not a few months later she's back in the PC and back on Smackdown. So what happened? The new OnlyFans decrees scare her? Did the whole Union scope not really look good in the long run and it'd go nowhere? Regardless of the reasoning even if it's justified... I think everyone here who thinks this looks like shit and Vega looks like a clown for going back have merit too. It's not about getting fired and going back, she was one of the few wrestlers seemingly comfortable enough to turn on WWE and say the U word that seems taboo and then she immediately about faced. It's a bad look.
Not only is it a bad look for that reason but I can't imagine how she could trust a company who literally chucked their husband away like garbage just weeks ago and was tortured by WWE's Booking for months if not YEARS... which Vega has already felt pretty fun first hand already tonight. Immediately job to Liv Morgan in what felt like seconds, welcome back! That's not great, not at all. Like they don't even bother to re-establish her as a threat? She didn't even have a MATCH she just lost quickly and decisively to Liv Morgan. I'm really glad Aleister doubled down and said he isn't going back to WWE. Good... DON'T at this point. For Aleister and what he wants to do I could not see it happening. Maybe Zelina does?? ... Tonight didn't give me much hope!
I'm in the camp of I really do hope the money was worth it and I hope she's happy. Same with Aleister if he chooses the same road after everything WWE has put him through. Because especially in Vega's case you kinda set yourself up for these kinds of responses doing what you did and this being the end result.
