On the WWE Youtube page they uploaded an network exclusive promo of her in front of the live crowd. It was by far the promo of her career as she showed a lot of fire and got pretty emotional. Crowd popped huge for her during it and gave her a "you deserve it chant" while she started to tear up. So this storyline is definitely working. I really hope she wins as it's definitely her time. Them having her stand tall though on the go home show has me worried. It feels like she is going to be the crowd favorite who makes sense as a winner only for her to fall just short. I definitely see her getting put in the 2017-2018 Becky spot. Underutilized underdog face that everyone wants to win but gets the rug pulled out from under her at the end by smarmy heel. I guess it would be Zelina since she's the only one with that type of character although I don't really see them having her win. I guess that makes Liv winning a little more probable since there isn't someone in the match with that character that they really love that like they did Carmella and Alexa. I know Alexa is in the match but she has a completely different character and is also a face.... or at least I think she is anyways. I guess maybe someone not announced will weasel their way in.

They’ve booked a rematch between Carmella and Bianca this Friday on SmackDown. Do you think it’s an indication that 50-50 booking is coming into play here? There would be no more credible heels if Carmella loses again (Bayley injured; Sasha MIA) and a briefcase and successful cash-in for Liv makes her a more credible opponent for Bianca in the future. There are still plenty of challengers for Bianca especially since they can go face-face if they have to. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Summerslam match is a Bianca-Sasha rematch. Seems like the perfect stage.

Yeah, with the Deville story thread still dangling and her getting the go-home shine, Morgan probably ain't winning the briefcase. That said, I have to wonder if this Deville thing is gonna lead to the head-shaving angle they planned to do with her last year before her whole home invasion thing happened, and Morgan is gonna be the opponent there. I doubt it. If the Sonya/Mandy hair storyline had never started on TV and was just rumored then maybe. However they had Sonya cut Mandy's hair short to set up the match at Summerslam which was originally announced with the hair stip and then had to be changed after the home invasion. It would be kind of awkward to do the exact same thing with Liv when they just did it the year before. It would be one less angle creative would have to write. They already do count outs, roll ups, and distraction finishes and both shows in the same week; they’re tapped out of ideas and angles. Why not repurpose one from before that the fans haven’t seen in person.

I'll be honest, I'm trying to figure out where this overness has actually come from. It's not like she's been booked anything great... let's be honest, ever... but it seems to be more than just "Crowd is happy to be at the wrestling again".

Her Network documentary was one of those things that really got me into her as a character/person. And I first heard about it from people that I did not know even watched WWE. It seems like they're just leaning into as much of her actual personality as possible because of the positive reception that got.

I fell off the appreciation wagon with her commentary on SD. Obviously she can recover from a shitty commentary night, but WOOOOOOOF that’s going to stick with me for a hot minute.

I think the most discouraging thing is not only did she not win but there doesn't look that there's really any direction for her going forward coming out of the match. At least if she got screwed in some way by some heel then at least she would have a gripe and have motivation. Instead she was just another body in a match where another face won. It seems like they never really had plans for the Sonya thing or they just decided to drop it. Either way it's seeming kind of pointless. On the positive side at least she got a good reaction again. If can stay over maybe she'll get her shot eventually although if they start jobbing her a lot again it could be tough. I guess we can look forward to more of her and Zelina Vega bickering and having a 50/50 feud where they trade wins. Maybe the Rumble I guess .

I think the fact that her booking has sucked has played a part in her getting over. She's someone who by all accounts seems like a really good person irl, has put in a ton of work to improve and, has a lot of things too for as a talent. However she can just never get a break for some reason. As a result it's easy to feel sorry for her and also make her relatable I guess. You want the person who pays his/her dues and has put in the work to get what they deserve. Unfortunately in the WWE that more often then not isn't the case where if you aren't earmarked to be a star from the get to then most likely you never will no matter the work you put in, the talent you have, or how much the fans like you. Instead they would rather reward people who drink and drive because having the right relatives I guess is more important then putting other people's life's at risk.

Sonya doing something/orchestrating something would have made sense. Keep that going (is it still going? I don't watch weekly TV much just highlights for people I like) And she's organically over with the crowd, has improved a million percent in the ring, give her the rub. Not the person who looks like she's wearing a puffy ice mask to reduce swelling around her eyes. And yes I know I'm being petty. I'm just disappointed.

Very interested in seeing whatever Liv will sink or swim tomorrow at SD! Crowd is clearly behind. Liv's Win/Loss record is now good enough to warrant at least #1 contenders match - that's what I'm expecting to see. Only Evil Sonya, returning Naomi or debuting Toni can screw it up. EDIT: Oh crap, Sasha's coming back for SummerSlam, isn't she?

I wouldn't be surprised if Liv starts feuding with Toni, if they plan on keeping Toni heel.

I wouldn't be surprised if Liv starts feuding with Toni, if they plan on keeping Toni heel. I read somewhere they are going to have her as a face. I think bringing her in as a heel would make more sense as they need a lot more help on that side on Smackdown as Carmella, Zelina, Tamina, and Natalya is pretty meh although if Sasha is coming back that will help. I think their face is fine right now with Bianca, Liv, Naomi, Shotzi, and Nox. Unless I guess they turn Naomi heel to join the Family. I think Naomi is a much better face then heel but that could actually make a decent feud for Liv if they don't want to elevate her yet at least if they have her go over anyways. I think that would do a lot more for her then feuding her with someone like Zelina which is what I see them doing unfortunately.

Staying up 3:00-6:00 AM without Liv ain't just worth it!And looking at SmackDown's preview, it's not looking good at all... If she's not a sacrificial lamb for Toni, I'd take that too.

All reports seem to be that Storm is coming in as a babyface, so that helps Morgan’s cause there, at least as it pertains to being the opponent. However, with a separate women’s title match as well, unless Storm debuts in a tag match, I doubt Morgan will be seeing ring time tonight.
