Super F-ing pissed off tonight.
I don't know why I ever get my hopes up WWE will do the right thing or make good writing choices when they fail constantly.
How in the world do you not have Liv do something tonight after the big return at Rumble and finishing runner up again? Something... ANYTHING. Didn't need to be a match, but FFS at least let her cut a quick promo in the ring.
Or how about having her add to Rhea's beatdown and come out when Nia leaves, pull out a chair and attack her???
But no, we needed to see 2 worthless women's tag-team matches instead.
And if they're setting up Nia vs Rhea at Wrestlemania with Bayley vs Iyo, then unless they throw Liv a new tag-team partner yet again for a women's tag-team title match at WrestleMania then she's not on the card for Mania...

I know we're all fans here and supposed to be positive about her but I just don't get how right now... cause she entered 30 at rumble and "almost" won? ok, but they didn't let her win so she's just 1 of 29 who didn't win she'll have nothing at mania again, doesn't look like she'll be in elimination chamber so now we're Backlash in May which is usually mania rematches, not new feuds... so the earliest we may get a PLE push is money in the bank in July but it's very hard to see them having her win it again... |

IMHO, this boils down to having Bayley win the rumble... it was a mistake.
She didn't need it for her career, they didn't need it to break up damage control. A feud with Bayley vs Iyo and the break up of the group was a natural storyline for mania without her winning the rumble.
WWE just can't quit the 4 horsewomen. Charlotte is out injured, Sasha is gone. So had to be either Becky or Bayley.
Better story/writing is Liv wins rumble 1 year after coming up short by 1 second. 2 nights later on RAW she hunts Rhea down and gives her the beatdown of a lifetime. Grabs the mic and says something like "you have no idea what you've unleashed inside me, you made the worst mistake of your life" zoom in on that sadistic look Liv gets when she puts someone thru a table or something... and segment ends
then between last night and mania can have Nia and Cargill try and make cases for why they should be in the match, have Liv fight them off too...

They had like two lanes that they could have gone with Liv. But they tried to split the difference and it didn’t really work. |

My guess is that the Elimination Chamber match is going to have Lynch and Liv as two of the participants, and that the build to will start on Smackdown this week. And as much as I want Liv to get a chance to main event a PPV, I would rather it wasn't a match in which it is pretty much a lock that 50,000 plus people are going to be cheering on the woman who in kayfabe betrayed her then a year later put her out of action for 6 months. |
