Win on the go home Raw. Gets the winning pin on go home Smackdown. Michael Cole says she's his pick. *sigh* Well at least they are making it super clear in advance not to get your hopes up for her tomorrow. Hell, Bayley even said Liv was who she was rooting for on social media, which was interesting. Part of me is still thinking Shotzi wins, despite that being pretty goddamn unlikely. Usually the fact that she has so little "momentum" would make it more likely she would win but with her it just feels like more they don't care about her that much then them trying to swerve everyone. I think she's in the match mainly because she can take some good bumps and the SD women's roster is weak and there wasn't a lot of other options. They were obviously going to give to Lacey and Raquel spots but that left Shotzi, Shayna, Aliya, and Xia Li for the third spot. None of whom are getting any push at the moment. So they picked Shotzi probably just because she was the best fit for the ladder match environment. Becky was my pick but I'm not sure now. I'm thinking Asuka will probably cost her in some way as that's a feud it seems like they want to stretch out further. At the moment I think it's either going to be Lacey or Alexa. They've invested a lot in Lacey since she's come back and I can them doing that heel turn that was rumored by having her cash in on one of the face champions. Alexa kind of needs a direction story wise and the briefcase is something I think that would give her that. It seems like she's kind of due for another title run as even though she's always been pushed and featured a lot, she hasn't been a singles champion since 2018. Honestly I think she's fine where she's at and doesn't necessarily need to be a champion again especially with how hard she was pushed in 2017-18. But she's someone they've always really liked and I find it more likely they hitch their wagons to her again then finally give Liv a run.

Yeah, I don't think Shotzi is likely by any stretch, but neither was Carmella when she won it, or Damien Sandow, so sometimes things just work out strangely. I do agree she's probably just there to do some bumps, plus she just visually will stand out in a way that probably helps a bit. I would like if Liv wins, though I question if it'd damage her to not cash in successfully. Winning the case at all is something of an accolade, at least, I guess.

Carmella and Sandow were presented as much bigger deals then Shotzi is at the moment. Carmella in particular was someone they were clearly big on as she had a fairly high profile feud with Nikki Bella not long before and she was getting a good amount of TV time and focus with the Ellsworth stuff. Her character as a chicken s**t heel type is also usually the most common when it comes MTIB winners. Then you look at the other people in the match. Charlotte didn't need it, Becky was basically what Liv is now as the popular face that is always the bridesmaid, Natalya isn't someone they would give to, and Tamina .. yeah don't think I have to say anymore. I wasn't shocked at all when Carmella won. I can't remember but I'm sure she was who most people were probably picking back then. They are due for a failed cash in for the women as it hasn't happened yet. If that's the case then Liv is better off not winning the ladder. I don't think she would be able to recover from that. Only people I think you do that with are people who've been pushed very hard in the past that are bullet proof at this point and can recover pretty easily. Or a chicken s**t heel who is more of a comedy type character in that way at least it plays into the character in that they are already a joke to begin with.

I really can't claim to get her but it is cool for her fans that they finally threw her a bone.

For the past few months I figured she was the best choice to win MITB but I started doubting it would happen when she got the pin and stood tall on both Raw and Smackdown this week and Cole was calling her the favorite to win. They don't always do the obvious thing so I'm glad they did here.
I'd be down for the title going from Bianca to Rhea to Liv between now and Wrestlemania while Becky gets drafted to Smackdown, turns face and takes that title from a heel Ronda.

Will Liv Morgan ever get her flowers? I can’t answer that because I don’t know. I doubt anyone in WWE knows. And that’s why all we can do is ride it out and hope for the best. So I heard you like FLOWERS, eh? WELL HAVE ALL THE FLOWERS IN THE WORLD! Whether the reign is any good or not, who the f*** knows from here. Hell, history tells you it probably won’t. But she’s off the duck egg in terms having literally no accolades of any sort.

I can't say I even considered her cashing in on the Smackdown title but that show needed something. Raw's women's division has been outclassing Smackdown's for months now. Hopefully a new babyface champ in Liv can give Smackdown a boost.

I'm just rolling my eyes that they immediately blew through the women's Money in the Bank again. Of seven briefcase winners five of them have cashed in within one day and one of them was stripped of it after two.

I’m gonna be the guy to remind people Charlotte’s probably coming back soon and there’s a real chance Liv loses it as soon as Friday.

I don't think she'll lose it that quickly but this does definitely feel like a speedbump thing to get the belt off of Ronda so it can bounce around a bit before she wins it again around Mania season.

I dont post much being pessimist but I`m gonna make the call that in two weeks or so ,if that, SHe is gonna be losing under 5 minutes clean to Charlotte or Ronda. Or both. But I hope note, always enjoyed Liv, she and mandy were always underrated

On one hand, happy for Liv. On the other hand...I really do want to see a women's MitB winner hold the damn case beyond at least SummerSlam season. As is now I have to worry about Liv being fed to Charlotte or Ronda so that WWE can get their "proper" SmackDown! Women's title match at SummerSlam...
