From a purely entertainment perspective I have to wonder how HHH feels about all of this. Stephanie is into business and will be fine doing whatever she wants to do. Shane is into business and will be fine in whatever line of work he chooses to do. But HHH isn't a business guy and probably can't just slot himself into a power spot at another company. Does HHH have free reign to be a part of AEW or will the sale of the WWE prevent him from joining another wrestling organization. Pro wrestling is all that guy has ever wanted to do and the fact he might not be able to legally has me really intrigued. I'm not sure why this is one of my first thoughts but it is. He’s set financially enough to be a stay at home dad. I imagine him cutting 30 minute promos to his kids each morning they wake up on why they didn’t clean their room and do their chores. That's a funny image but seriously what would he do. The guy breathes wrestling and I have to think he's be against selling out. HHH would have been great as a territory promoter back in the 60's and 70's but he doesn't have the business acumen to be a high ranking official and he's clearly not physically able to be a full time wrestler anymore. His destiny was to be like Verne Gagne or Fritz Von Erich but with less craziness. If WWE sells and he gets shuffled to some menial job in the background or just flat out let go then I'm not sure what he's going to do. He's got plenty of money and a loving family but the man loves wrestling. He's one of the only guys who says they live and breathe the business and I actually believe him.

Lets just hypothetically assume okay WWE is sold....I do not think it would be out the realm of possibility of HHH himself got to keep NXT and he runs it as a new entire company. WWE is sold off but HHH continues on now with HHH helming NXT as a full fledged company.

Khan tried to give encouraging words to employees. At one point he became emotional reading a story about a young woman who commuted four hours from work to college every day. The story was seemingly an example of a person with a strong work ethic who WWE employees might emulate. Miro's promo on the brass ring just about sums up my thoughts on this transparent corporate BS. Personally, it boils my blood whenever I hear it.

It'll get to the point where the wrestlers in the ring will just do the commentary themselves.
'Will I knock off my opponent in this matchup? We'll be back after this commercial break as RAW rolls on' ARGGGGGG MY HOLE!

*hits finisher and goes for the cover* "FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!" 'One, Two, I got him!' 'No I didn't!' ...I'm starting to really want to see some wrestler put this together on a Youtube show or something.

I'm guessing the McMahon's see the future outlook for the industry has changes they don't like and battles they know they'll eventually lose... so they are going to cash out. We need them to see the Big Show pics thread. They would want to buy it, and profit off of it. Big Show equals Big Money.

Should that be in the AEW section now since he's currently in that promotion as "Paul Wight"?

I think that Vince doesn’t really care about keeping the WWE as a family owned thing and I think that he wants the satisfaction of a huge conglomerate NBC/Disney/whoever coveting it as a huge ego stroke more than anything.
I fully suspect that NBC and the Rock will own the WWE within 5-7 years.
I also fully suspect that HHH will continue his never ending feud with Rocky by starting a rival promotion.

Mentioned it earlier but it should not shock anyone if WWE were to be sold that HHH somehow along with Stephanie just wheal and deal to get the entirety of NXT for themselves and they keep it going as a new company. HHH and Stephanie absoloutley would have the capital to do it and they are connected enough to land any sort of TV deal easily.

I still need to be convinced about this “prepping WWE to be brought” thing. Like, if we’re talking NBC Universal buying it to expand their own library, sure, maybe as a stretch. Anyone else? Nah. Yeah, I am not full-on convinced they're looking to get bought, and this might be something where it's more about maximizing profits. They've had huge operating costs for years, especially once NXT came into the picture, and record revenue hasn't really meant huge profits for WWE. They haven't been in the red or anything, but I can't see Khan or other business types seeing it and thinking it was going to fly forever.

If WWE really is looking to get bought out, it's sort of hilarious to me: Vince got his ownership of the family business through the most sweetheart 'loan' from his dying father imaginable, and his son in law and daughter have both been put into positions where they were learning different facets of running the company for the day they could take over. Him deciding "Nah f*** that' and selling would be spectacular.

Didn't Vince have to buy out the four owners (his father, Gorilla Monsoon, Phil Zacko, Arnold Skaaland) with the condition that if he wasn't able to complete the purchase by a certain point, they would keep the company as well as what they had been paid?

I think so. Like, Vince still was being done a favor, but it wasn't a free ride, either, along with there being people Vince basically had to keep on as long as they wanted. Not like Monsoon didn't earn his keep, but from the picture Heenan paints, Monsoon was loooaded by the time of the '80s, so I don't know if that buyout came cheap. Of course, once Vince *had* bought the company, he also was in the position of having the very best infrastructure to go national he could have ever hoped for. I don't think he had any trouble affording to buy out Stu Hart and others as he built his empire.
