I'd like to see Cardona appear. I'm so happy for that guy. He seems like he's having a blast now.

My immediate thought was Cardona appears but I forgot the the no interference stip. Wasn't it specifically a no Inner Circle interference stip? Really? I don't remember. If that's the case.... all bets are off then.

I'm all for Nick Gage getting his moment in the spotlight. If you watched his DSOTR episode, and his interview with Van Vliet you would realize there is so much more than meets the eye with this dude. I'll just leave it at that.
Also, I'm not going to go through the entire thread to quote the guy, but whoever it was that said (paraphrasing) "I can't believe AEW is giving time to a convicted felon,"
I hope you have never f***ed up before and wanted a second chance. That is such an ignorant and short-sighted opinion. The dude was in a terrible, terrible place mentally. People shouldn't always be judged on their past. Let the man put food on his table.

There is a difference between "putting food on one's table", and being promoted on a TV show that millions of people worldwide watch, especially when his crime was specifically mentioned. He can work and get paid, I have no problem with that.

He can work and get paid, I have no problem with that. Good lord. His chosen vocation is professional wrestling. Why shouldn't he be allowed to compete as a professional wrestler? Martha Stewart is a convicted felon. Are we to boycott pretty much every major media outlet in the entire United States for doing business with her? Speaking of Martha Stewart, Snoop Dogg is a convicted felon. Guess we're all double boycotting Frito-Lay, no? I'm sorry, this is an absolutely ludicrous take. Like I said earlier, sure, we can have a discussion about whether it was in poor taste to reference his crime. But, it's just not defensible to argue that he should be precluded from ever working at a national level again because of something that happened in 2010. He served his time. He appears to have rehabilitated himself, cleaned up, and is now a gainfully employed member of society. Without getting too political, isn't that supposed to be exactly what "tough on crime" folks want?

Hey all things considered I thought he did pretty great. He got the crowd way into him and there was even a dueling "Let's go Jericho" "MDK" chant.

Was it the best match I’ve ever seen? No.
Was it a spectacle for the fact stuff was happening on National TV that you wouldn’t have expected? Yes.
Did the crowd adore it? Absolutely.
Sometimes that’s all you need.

Gage got his big moment on national TV. Doubt he will ever be full time. Dude is too beat up and enjoys deathmatches too much but good for him

Happy for the dude. Got to main event a national promotion against one of, if not, the GOAT of wrestling. Not too shabby. And hey, unlike how some were thinking, he didn't into business for himself and actually injure Jericho. Dude was a pro and had the crowd in his hand. Bravo.

He was Safe, the Match was great, even more so considering the amount of aching joints these two must have between them, and most importantly the crowd loved it.
Also, let it be know, Nick Gage brought Lighttubes to Main Stream Wrestling! Eat your heart out Foley. ^^

Whoever at TNT decided to follow up Nick Gage using a pizza cutter with a Domino’s Pizza commercial in PiP is a genius.

Was in a call with some friends and we lost it laughing at that. Bloody brilliant.
The call also got to hear my sounds of discomfort every time they did a spot with light tubes and the pizza cutter.
Was cool that Nick F'N Gage got to have his style of match on national TV.

Of course it wasn't a 'mat classic', and I don't think anyone was expecting it.. but it definitely was entertaining.
This is probably the highlight of Nick Gage's career, and just knowing that after all the years of abuse he's put himself through, he got the spotlight he deserves.
Well done, brother. Enjoy the moment!

That was everything people expected it to be and it delivered hard.
Given how the show started? They got the crowd madly back into the show by the end. Kudos to Jericho and Gage they both killed it in their roles.

I thought the match kicked ass. It was gonna be a train wreck and it was highly entertaining.

I give Jericho all the credit in the world for agreeing to even half the spots in that match. He could've easily played it safe, but he went all in. It actually reminded me a bit of Ric Flair doing a TLC match in his 50s and not holding back, except this being far more balls-to-the-wall crazy.

I'm hoping that Gage comes back to wrestle Max after he doesn't pay him. And hopefully he has a few weeks off to be in better condition.

That match ruled. It can’t happen often, or it’ll lose its mystique a la HIAC. But it ruled.
I hope Gage stays AEW-adjacent as a dangerous mercenary that you do NOT want brought in to face you in a feud.
