As I have already said I'm new to this.
so I have no idea on strategy plays, but I mean I guess lynching someone relatively randomly on the first day makes some kinda sense.

Honestly, imo, coming up with a reason not to do a lynch on Day One is a harder argument. Unless Town has a roleblocker role and they get lucky, Mafia will have a Day One kill of their choice. Town's in the hole and missed out on a chance to lynch scum. Town has to essentially lynch three or four Mafia members correctly to win. It's possible but unlikely that Mafia will suffer any night time loss. If you limit how many Lynches you do, then you essentially have to be correct each time or you will simply not win. And that gets harder with good play by Mafia as the game goes on.

And so it begins all over again.
So my first assessment is that the last game was lost because everybody was too quiet. Whenever decisions were made, they all seemed to be very reactionary. It’s definitely good for people to be ready to act, but you should only vote for something if you believe in it. Don’t try and pile on just because everybody else is doing it. That’s how Mafia wins in the end.
Not to say that you should always be one-hundred percent certain about something before making a move either. That is ideal, but the chances of it happening are very unlikely. Best case scenario is to just keep calm, think things through, and hope you come to the right conclusion. You might get it wrong, but as long as something can be gained from your decision then you shouldn’t feel too bad about it.

Players that have posted so far: No Longer a ProducemanRKTakeraka Cthulhu@irontyger A Platypus RaveMrBRulzOKPlayers yet to post: JazzmanBrandon Walsh is Insane.Jonathan MichaelsDub HTo those that have yet to reply, what are your thoughts on the two preliminary threads of discussion: * Day one lynch-for or against and why * number of scum we’re possibly dealing with To all players, what are you looking for in a prospective candidate for a day one lynch? Me personally, I tend to go with my gut and put pressure on someone that catches my eye. If something seems off I’ll place my vote accordingly.

I don't think i've played enough of these games to really tell but it isn't very often that someone really comes off as sus on day one, obviously again the quiet ones are always one to look out for for day ones, or those who don't add much to the conversation that is being had at the time. Day 1 is often pretty chill it's day twos where things really kick off

There are 11 players... there's at least 1 (or this would be a really short game >_>)
10 townsfolk to 1 scum seems like too high of a balance...
9-2 seems a little more manageable with being enough scum to cause havoc but still outnumbered greatly by the townsfolk....
assuming we don't have any weirdo third parties here.

I imagine that there isn't a third party killer. Wasn't in the write-up but might be after Night 1. There might be a third party but I imagine it might be a survivor type. Don't necessarily think there is one, though. I do give them props for being hidden so far.

Sorry barely slept, gonna try to contribute.
The tough thing about not voting is that it plays safe.Unless we know the game has enough roles that give information on night 1,which I`m not sure we have. It is all a matter of how well you do your first move so I usually like to have information going.
Well since most people like to vote day one lynch too,I will put this forward:
I have a role, I wont say which yet, but I do.

I'm not saying these things to be against voting for people day just bringing this up for discussion really

Best thing to do is keep the conversation going and, if we get a Lynch or not, the Town Doctor or Roleblocker, et.al can use the conversation to inform their targets for their Night Actions. But then you can get a million different opinions from different people and you sort of have to watch yourself.

People are always immediately suspicious of a day one kill.
I don’t entirely understand it.
We need info in order to make a decision.

I wouldn't say suspicious.
The thing is, voting No Vote/No Lynch is making a decision. It might yield information but most likely it will not.
No one in Town wants to Lynch Town but there are ways to go from a negative to a positive if that happens.

you really want Orlando Jordan here eh The juice is loose Get Juventud involved. A WCW Cruiserweight Mafia would be great. Lots of time left for Day One. Dub H probably telegraphed his role, if it's not a false claim, but it's not a bad play necessarily and those that should notice hopefully will. Jazzman being quiet is suspicious but he's also pretty busy irl and a deep analysis type player anyway. Certainly deserves a chance to respond. As for Day One, not sure who to start with yet but have ideas forming about who is Town, which is almost as important. The way I talk, the way I act, the way I look, hopefully that will help eatablish me as Town.
