I mean, he's not wrong, but it could've been phrased better. I feel for the crew on these movies when shit like this gets said. I get his point, but it really demeans others on set.

I would imagine most of the other actors get where he is coming from. Yeah, his point is actors have to push themselves harder on serious dramatic productions than they do on comic book movies. There are exceptions to the rule, of course – the article notes Jake Gyllenhall found Spider-Man: Far From Home challenging to the point where he had panic attacks on set, and don't ever tell Christian Bale he isn't pushing himself in a comic book movie unless you like being yelled at – but for the most part serious dramatic actors generally take comic book roles as a fun payday.

Continuing to do reshoots on a movie you know is dead in the water (no pun intended) while the movie you still have in theatres is losing money is absolutely bonkers.

one of the thing's I'd personally keep from the snyderverse films is Momoa as Aquaman (I'd have kept Cavill & Gadot as their respective roles as well.) in the new dc film universe.
they just worked as their respective characters.

I'd keep Shazaam too. I finally watched the second movie and I liked a lot more than I was expecting to based on it basically being a "dead end" movie for the franchise. I kind of get James Gunn going with a new Superman as that is a huge part of the franchise and he will want his own guy. I would like them to keep Gal as Wonder Woman as well, but oh well.

I personally feel they should re-cast every single character from the Snyderverse film, I don't care how well they played the part, the universe needs a completely fresh start. Honestly for secondary characters like Shazam I wouldn't even bother using them again, at least not any time soon. They have to bring back people like Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman for how core they are to the DCU in general, but why bring back Shazam with all its baggage when they have a million other characters they can use? Give us a Booster Gold movie. Or Captain Atom. Or Firestorm. There are plenty of options.

I loved some of the Snyder casting and really wanted to see what some of the actors would do with different directions and scripts (Cavill especially) but if you're recasting one, recast them all. Justice League, Sucide Squad, Peacemaker cast, all of them.
Start afresh or don't bother, IMO.

As much as I like Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, I think you need a clean break from the previous DCEU. Maybe you can bring some of the DCEU actors back in multiversal roles as long as it's more like Spider-Man No Way Home or the Arrowverse Crisis On Infinite Earths and less like The Flash. But that's all I'd do.

I think with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman it's easier to start from scratch with those because they've already has multiple characters. You could probably say that about The Flash too with TV and Movie.

If I recall correctly, Gunn is keeping Momoa around, but he's being re-cast as Lobo.

Momoa should switch to Marvel and play someone big and sarcastic.

Momoa should switch to Marvel and play someone big and sarcastic. I don't know what character you're referring to, but I think Momoa could pull off the modern "sassy" interpretation of Mister Sinister.

I don't know enough about Marvel's array of characters to know which one would suit him.

I'd a lot rather have a 100% clean break with the DCEU. Keeping some actors in other roles is cool and all but even stuff like keeping the woman playing Amanda Waller is just like, "No, burn that shit to the ground," for me.
Granted I'm also just kind of wondering why in recent years DC adaptations have gotten so obsessed with always having Amanda Waller. Nothing against the character, she's great when used right, but she's gotten badly overexposed.

Viola Davis has an EGOT and they probably think she adds some sort of gravitas. I don't mind her, but I get why people would start fresh.

I think they reshot some footage so there were more scenes with Amber Heard pooping on things.

I want it to be renamed "Aquaman: Fish Pimp" with no other details.
