nypost.com/2021/06/14/ex-wwe-star-lana-to-spill-the-tea-on-vince-mcmahon/Didn't know which thread to put this in, since Lana isn't WWE anymore-does anyone think anything will come out of this, or Lana just posturing WWE? Former WWE star Lana has threatened to “spill the tea” on WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon’s company after being “silenced” for years. The Ravishing Russian was one of six wrestlers recently released by the billionaire. She was axed along with Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy, Ruby Riott, and Santana Garrett. This news comes a year after her husband Rusev — now called Miro, who is the TNT Champion in rival promotion AEW — was also let go. Now the beautiful 36-year-old Lana has spoken to her fans on Instagram Live about her exit. And she promised that she will be opening up about her time in WWE, including “standing up and speaking out on things that for years [she’s] been silent about.” “I can’t wait to spill the tea, because it’s hot and delicious. “I look forward to standing up and speaking out on things that for years I have been silent about,” she said. Lana also mentioned how she cried after her release while her husband did cartwheels when he was released 12 months ago. Fans will now be eagerly awaiting the moment Lana lets loose on WWE as she suggested she had a number of negative stories she wants to “whistleblow” on. What do you think? Post a comment. “It’s a little bit of freedom that I can be the face that I want to be. – “I can stand up for freedom, I can stand up for truth, I can speak up for things that people exploited and a lot of things,” she added.

I wonder if she will mention how the WWE tried to split up Rusev and Lesnar.
I mean, they tried her with Ziggler, Lashley, etc... and wasn't there a story that Vince tried to break them up?

If we get confirmation of any meddling or resentment booking, that'd be massive.

It would be great for her to come out but sadly it never leads anywhere. Vince and WWE are untouchable overall. He may fail in business outside of wrestling, but his company never fails and employees wronged never get a sense of justice.

If former workers are happy with where they are, now, or speak and feel justified, then that's okay. His company may never fail, but, there's a lot of people who would think otherwise.

If you look at the sweep of history, you'll see a pattern: every big change is impossible until it happens, and then it was inevitable. Lots of serial predators seemed untouchable until #MeToo happened, as well.

Vince discovering what real tea is and routinely drinking it should happen.

If we get confirmation of any meddling or resentment booking, that'd be massive. There’s been plenty of people who confirmed WWE loved busting up couples by putting them on separate shows. Now, I can’t think of any offhand, but they’ve done it. JR spoke about how he knew he was being drafted to Smackdown just because he said he didn’t want to. Jericho has spoken about how he learned which show he was going to by a text from his friend who read it on the website. WWE refused to tell him, he wasn’t drafted on air and had to get to the next show. So his friend had to find out for him by the damn website.

They stranded a bunch of employees in a politically hostile country, plainly showing they favored some people over others, and no one gave a shit about it. It might be pessimistic but I just can't see one person doing much to damage the company's image at this point.
As it is, it's such a horse and pony show that most mainstream media still see it as jacked up dudes yelling at each other for the most part.

The most mainstream attention their f***ery ever got was John Oliver. Didn’t even register.

How Vince McMahon treated JR would be grounds for lawsuit for any employer or job site but with wrestling being wrestling and JR being a company man nothing was ever done. I hope Lana's surprise is worth it.

It would be, but a firsthand confession of "they booked us into these positions because someone in management was angry we were together and they thought Miro wasn't 'good enough' for me" would still be a pretty big statement to drop.

I don’t even think WWE is stupid to admit booking decisions are made because they think Lana is too pretty for Miro.

They aren't, but interactions and what the people involved feel happened woudl be pretty enlightening. Nobody would ever say "We're breaking you up on-screen because the boss wants to smash and thinks your husband's an uggo" but the feeling that's the case is definitely something that would come across if true.

That "politically hostile" country routinely jails and executes its own citizens for speaking ill of their government. I'd say they are more than hostile. Speaks volumes on how much money actually means to Vince and Co. You couldn't pay me money to go to Saudi Arabia in their current climate.

Lana: Vince McMahon loved me, and it was Johnny Ace who didn't want to push me. Vince is the greatest boss ever.
