Kind of a spinoff of the "before they made changes" thread. What maligned period/seasons of shows did you still like? Or like more?
I actually liked many of the California Laverne and Shirley episodes. Season 8 I agree is inexcusable.
Match Game: Star Wheel era.
Family Feud lollipop tree era. 400 point rule be damned and Dawson phoning it in and all.
Prime Time Wrestling: the talk show.
Post-Fegen/Norriss Brittas Empire.

Wonder Years. Kevin gotten older and Wayne was becoming more adult. Karen wasn’t around, and Paul seemed to become more estranged from Kevin, but it still hit the right notes.

I completely get people giving up on Homeland but some of the later seasons are really good.
Many think Frasier wasn't as good after Niles and Daphne got together but I'd still take the later seasons over most sitcoms.

I feel like its a great sitcom the whole way though. Except for season 10. f*** season 10.

I still like the last series of Game of Thrones. It’s undeniably not as good as the earlier ones and there is more than a hint of them rushing through two years of storylines in a handful of episodes. Regardless, I still found it entertaining and was overall satisfied with it.

Could be alone on this but the last season of Scrubs, I always liked Scrubs in spite of Zach Braff, Lucy is a much more likable fill in

Sort of a example given it was the last year with the original cast, but I always quite enjoyed Community season 4. It wasn't as strong as the first three, but there was some generally strong episodes and as much as I like Harmon's writing, it was nice to get a break from it for a while.

Season 11 of Frasier was a welcome return to form after the rough 8-10, and even features one of my favourite episodes (The Doctor is Out)

I really liked Dexter the whole way through and was surprised people didn’t enjoy later seasons. Now, I was a late to the party streaming fan so that probably plays into it.
As it aired I liked the final season of That 70’s show. I don’t hate it. But I probably wouldn’t defend it as much now.
Roseannes final season took some turns, but it was fun for the most part. I do not watch The Conners but the first season of the revival wasn’t awful despite some glaring problems.
As a kid watching re runs I liked Happy Days without Richie as much as any other season.
I liked the last few seasons of Drew Carey.
George Lopez is good from beginning to end.

Despite a couple of hideous episodes, I actually really like the third season of Star Trek TOS. Some of my all time favorite Trek episodes are in that season.

The fifth season of Sliders may have been lacking in leading star power, but it felt like it was trying to prove something again towards the end. Finale was inexcusible though.
Buffy season seven wasn't the 'godsend' we needed after the show's one very bad year (six), but it did a decent job with it's final episodes. I think more people remember how Angel ended more than this did.
At the time it was made, Power Rangers RPM was the last season of the franchise (and the last Disney produced), and of course it's the one where they were allowed to cut loose and go all out on the risk in storytelling...even the production woes behind the scenes didn't really slow it's momentum down. It still got screwed by the network regardless and shown at 'WTF in the morning' but worth it. PR came back of course, but it was a shell of itself, only a couple of series since have reminded us of the magic.

As I started watching as the expansion was in full force, I suppose I first caught several wrestling companies past their prime. Late 80s AWA and WCCW, for instance. But I enjoyed them all the same.

Regardless, I still found it entertaining and was overall satisfied with it. Absolutely this. None of the creative choices ever felt wrong from a character standpoint, it was just horribly rushed. They could have easily gotten nine or ten seasons out of the show had Weiss and Benioff hadn't been in such a hurry to move on and just let things breathe.

ER spent like 5 years being a parody of itself, it had postive things (like the character growth of Morris) but the last season it foun it's mojo again
