I'm reminded of someone I had the misfortune of sharing a roleplay with years ago. GM character, started off nice and simple, then suddenly got possessed by a demon with no setup or reason and started pulling powers out of nowhere. When questioned about this and why they didn't have anything written down about it, they responded that they did have it written down, just not in public view. Not a fun character to try to interact with.

Alexa right now sounds exactly like the above. Munchkins on a power trip aren't fun.

This entire storyline is just creepy, cringey, and nonsensical. If they keep this up when they go back in front of live crowds, they're going to be in for a nasty surprise in terms of reactions.

I barely even watch anymore, but from what I’ve seen on Twitter, I’m VERY uncomfortable about the fact that the creepy Alexa stans are sexualising a tiny woman dressed as a toddler.

I get why people dislike the character, but I think she's one of the few people they have who are at least passable in the acting department. Definitely the only woman.

I'm not against the more cartoony elements of wrestling, but the problem is when it breaks the internal logic. Undertaker was a creepy cult leader with powers, but he used them to try & dethrone McMahon & control the company (up until the 'Higher Power' reveal, anyway).

But I'm not sure of what Bliss' goal is here. Does she want to be the champion? Then why not just hypnotise the referee to declare her the winner? Why not hypnotise the champ to relinquish the title? And if her goal is to just hurt people & cause chaos, why is she bothering to do this in wrestling, & not the President of the United States or something?

He never really did that first thing though?

I don't think he ever stated the goal that he was going to take over the WWF...Taker used his supernatural stuff to just kinda do supernatural stuff to his opponents and try to win the Title and stuff,

I was more referring to the 'Ministry of Darkness' storyline, when he was feuding with the corporation.

The other problem with Voodoo Bliss is that they’re also trying to book her as a babyface. That’s awkward, because Byron and Corey are trying to sell how spooky she is and they have an uneasy tone in their voices, yet I’m supposed to like her. They’re not laughing at the heels getting theirs and being freaked out, it’s just nervousness on Saxton’s part. So she’s not the malevolent and dark force disrupting the show like she should be, and she isn’t an especially sympathetic character either.

That’s…a weird concept to me, especially considering she turned on The Fiend, a character that was also for some reason a face from what I can remember even though he didn’t have a real organic “turn” moment as much as “people like the dude so he’s one by default” sort of thing.

Yeah, like, it's not quite "Kane is getting revenge on Snitsky for accidentally helping cause the miscarriage of the baby he sexually assaulted into Lita" bad but it's one of those things you look at and go "Who...who am I rooting for here?"
