Instead of going to WCW as Michael Wallstreet and eventually NWO member #54.
Since the Attitude Era was much more financially successful than the New Generation Era I’m sure he would have made sure Vince paid his taxes!

Would put a lien on Droz's Tattoo parlor for owed back taxes.

At first I couldn't imagine IRS fitting in, but on second thought he could have been a great addition to the Corporation. Make him less of the cartoony IRS, and more like a cold, ruthless Accountant type. His catchphrase, "It's just business."

He'd help Vince with shady tax dodges! >_>
Also when he went back to WCW he was VK Wallstreet... cause TAKE THAT VINCE!

Since IRS was mostly a midcard act I don’t see him having much interaction with The Rock or Stone Cold. I could see him feuding with The Godfather though since pimps don’t pay taxes. It could take a little heat off Godfather who Vince never pulled the trigger on putting in the main event. It was crazy how over Godfather was during The Attitude Era. I think the reasoning was because Godfather was limited in the ring, but plenty of Attitude Era main events weren’t great in-ring action.

I looked it up and according to Wikipedia he went by VK, Mr., M., and Michael Wallstreet. I’m thinking the M. one was probably just a typo from Cagematch. I remember him more as Michael Wallstreet. I think he just went by VK as he was being introduced then they switched it to Michael. Also, they probably called him Mr. Wallstreet occasionally since it makes sense for a rich douchebag heel to be called Mr.

He fills a role that Tom Prichard or Terry Taylor would have done. He'd basically have his agent/producer job several years earlier.

Honestly, it's probably the same as Val Venis the gimmick that made him popular has an obvious ceiling. No one is going to make a Blacksploitation style Pimp their world champion on a national level, and he was only really over because of his gimmick so you can't really take it away... and like a lot of the gimmicks Russo gave people there's really no going back from that it's the type of thing that's gonna stick to you for the rest of your career.

He then came back as Michael then the next week he was VK... they even poked fun of it on commentary that he just changed his name. then later they changed it back to Michael/Mister or just M Wallstreet at Souled Out >_>

Since IRS was mostly a midcard act I don’t see him having much interaction with The Rock or Stone Cold. IRS vs. Stone Cold: White collar vs. blue collar. It writes itself! But seriously, I could see him in a flunky role similar to what they brought the Bossman back to do in '98, except instead of being a security goon, he'd be a "consultant" who found loopholes with Linda and doctored contract language to help McMahon screw over Austin. "I thank you for your professional opinion, Mr. Rotunda." And of course Austin would regularly grab him by the tie and beat the crap out of him.

Honestly I could see him being allowed to have a 'corporate casual' look to change things up from New Generation IRS. I mean, they changed up Bossman's look from the blue shirt to the SWAT look, so a look refresh would probably have come for Rotunda as well.

He would be trying hard to collect taxes from Val Venis' shoots.

Plus Charles said himself he just wanted to have fun. It was Over and he got paid to basically live a version of his life

Wonder why he was allowed that bit of "individuality" as it were (Ivory's I can understand in a way).

I don't think he'd still be using the gimmick if he did stick around. I feel like he'd probably have fallen into a stooge roll, especially since he was obviously more experienced than a lot of the newbies, but still able to work more or less regularly. I don't picture him getting as much of a resurgence as Big Bossman, but it's easy to picture "Mike Rotunda" being someone that that could get physical but would probably largely be there to put over the new crop.

Not to shift the focus too much, but The Godfather was such a strong number 2 for so long. He’s definitely a case of a guy who got pushed so hard and did so well that without pushing him to the main event he just seemed to be spinning in place after a while. Which he did for a while. Then the spin slowed down until the RTC run happened.
I get the argument that you can’t make a Blaxploitation pimp your champ. I think that is more a longterm booking problem though. If he’s a transitional champ it’s less of a problem. I didn’t mean to say he should have taken Rock or Austin’s place or anything. In more recent eras where we’ve had two top belts, I could definitely see him as World Champ while the WWE Title was the top belt.
