Well, they finally seem to be keeping Kross firmly as a heel as opposed to the tweener route he was on and he attacked The Way

Idk if it is a full fledged turn because I always suspected that Johnny would play face atleast in this feud since they teased it during the Kross Vs Theory match some weeks ago.

And I only doubt a full fledged turn because idk how they would get to turn Indi and Candice babyface unless you turn either Shotzi and Ember or Io and Zoey heel and both of those are astronomically stupid especially the Io and Zoey pairing and also because been saying if there is one thing the women do not need right now is MORE heel aligned women.

Having The Way lean tweener/face is likely because we have Diamond Mine as another heel faction.

Probably more so temporary for The Way tho not like they can't turn face permanently

This is a permanent turn for Kross tho or more so them finally sticking to one side for him. His character is strongest when heel and he found his niche wrestling as a tweener

He needs more OOMPH on that Hidden Blade elbow tho, tho don't kill people like Ospreay

And yea Kross needs to tighten up his offence it is a glaring issue with his in ring stuff idk if he is afraid of actually hurting someone if he lays it in or what but he has to find that balance , look at swerve's offence absoloutley killer every single strike he lays it in just enough that it lands but doesn't legit hurt.

Kross needs to get his stuff to that level.

I think Kross has lost some of his confidence tho he is afraid of hurting someone since he does all that training and shit but as long as he don't concuss someone, a few bruises should be fine 

Hell, have Wade teach him to throw the Bullhammer elbow and use it properly. Either that or go to the Saito suplex but Sarrayy is the current suplex machine

I also think what is throwing him off is that he is trying to adapt his offence to his character and the fact that NXT keeps strip mining his character and seems to be changing week to week is throwing it off.

When he first showed up it was the Saito and Kross Jacket which I thought worked perfectly.

Now his offence has turned into MMA , Judo Muy Thai hybrid thing.

Not a fan of Gargano or the Way turning face. I think it's going to lose a lot of it's charm as a result especially for Gargano in particular as he was so bland as a face and has been so much more entertaining as a heel. It is weird though that on the women's half of the stable Candice and Indi were still acting very much like heels tonight. Unless I guess Gargano is just kind of a default face for this feud and then goes back to being full heel once it's over.

It is exactly what I think it is.

Like when HBK turned heel just for his feud with Hogan and as soon as it was done it was right back to being super babyface.

Like it can be a bit personal for Johnny just to give it reason that yea Austin is an total dumbass but Johnny has come to care for his dumbass son and let Kross spend the build exploiting that and trying to mentally mess with him untill Johnny just unleashes on him when the match takes place.

Do Raw or Smackdown even have a big enough roster to have five stables, let alone five heel stables?

If they plan on finally hooking up Index together, then I can see the Way fully becoming a face stable. Indi and Candice can lose the tag titles and then Candice can get bullied by Franky or Xia completing the face turn. Plus if they plan on having larger live crowds, they will definitely cheer for the Way

Face Way is something I’ve been low key wanting for awhile now. I don’t think NXT will butcher the turn either, keeping them essentially the same they are now which is obviously the key.

I'm wondering if they've sort of quietly dropped the Index storyline. Unless I missed a quick backstage appearance or something, Dexter hasn't been on the last two weeks. Meanwhile Indi and Candice have just been beefing with the face women with no acknowledgement of Dexter. It's coming off like the whole Poppy thing was kind of conclusion of it as the last few weeks Indi hasn't seemed bothered like she has in the past when something would go awry with her and Dexter. It seems like the last few weeks it's like they hit the reset button and her current storyline status is just her and Candice as heel tag champions trying to fend off potential challengers.

I've been saying for months that I don't want Gargano as a face ever again, but since the Cameron Grimes face turn is working out a lot better than I thought it would, I think I'd be able to give NXT the benefit of the doubt. They have to keep Theory as a dumbass, though.

I don't think the storyline has been dropped. I still feel like Candice and Indi are going to lose the tag titles because of Dexter Lumis.

I also agree that it would be weird to turn The Way face, especially if they are going up against Io and Zoey like what seems to be hinted at. There is zero chance the audience boos Io.

I love The Way. I actually couldn’t stand Johnny before hand. One of the few things that annoy me is Johnny is a bit of chicken shit or a guy that gets in over his head. Then he gets in the ring and wrestles like a underdog babyface. The gimmick doesn’t translate well into the ring. I don’t really see The Way going completely face, I don’t see it working. But I was wrong about Grimes. So who knows.
