As I recall, droids, but I remember just about nothing about either show at this point aside from an image of R2-D2 trying to be scary by putting all of his tools out at once.

Droids has the catchier theme song Granted, the original Ewoks theme is the same. But at least Droids never changed to a lamer song, and well, it is just better. The end theme is aces as well.

I love them both. Watched some droids on Disney Plus and it still holds up. It sorta captures that classic Star Wars feel in cartoon form perfectly. All the vehicles and sound effects they use are so Star Wars - and its honestly my favorite incarnation of 3PO. I loved the way the show was structured too, with what reminded me of (as a kid) Doctor Who esque multiple episode mini arcs that make up a season. It was interesting as they cycled through various "masters", so one got new fun casts every bunch of episodes and you could formulate your favorite (Baobab!!). As a kid I also loved how comparably serious the overall tone of Droids was. I love every time a little bit of Droids creeps into the movies or greater Star Wars universe (I love how Admiral Skreed appears in a whole bunch of Star Wars stuff). Still, I also loved Ewoks. I just loved how it looked and how magical it felt. The Duloks and the mystical shamanistic lore were probably my favorite parts of the show. But overall I would say Droids is better: Better opening theme, has the Great Heep, Baobab is cool, and I think it has aged a lot better. It's amazing seeing them both in such nice quality, though. My old taped off TV copies were DIRE - though they had the great commercial eye catch spots.
Edit: Still cheeses me that they didn't last longer.

Season 1 and Season 2 Ewoks are practically different shows.

So in reading up on Ewoks, I discovered there was apparently a bit of controversy at the time, over the fact that they spoke English on this show instead of their native language from the movies.
Now, I’m generally all in favor of maintaining purity on this sort of thing. But really, what were they supposed to do, use subtitles? It was a Saturday morning kids’ cartoon, for crying out loud, not some arthouse foreign film.

English wouldn't even have to be English. It's a silly argument for those bringing it up because it then implies all the intelligible humans in the films speak English and then there's just too much mental gymnastics that have to be performed.

I really think Disney should get on this idea I've had for Ewoks vs. Jawas. Would it be as cool as baby Yoda? Probably not, but there's no harm in trying is there?

I have snippets of memories of Droids, but no recollection of the EWalks cartoon whatsoever.
