HUMPERDINCK!?
Yep. Stands out and is memorable. Didn't hurt his career much, considering this is the guy who kept the Beatles off the number one spot.

Coleridge would have gone to battle under the name Silas Tomkyn Comberbache but it wasn't to be.

I'd say kind of like the lovechild of Ted DiBiase and Jimmy Hart. And try not to let that mental image sink in.

He was told to choose a stage name since they realised Arnold Dorsey wasn't going to sell records, and his thinking was if I choose a name that's incredibly ridiculous nobody will forget who I am. Since he was primarily a crooner, there was no need to choose something too trendy, plus Englebert Humperdinck was the name of a classical German composer.

He does a bit. And if Ted and his family go to prison they will also be singing Please Release Me.

I doubt we'll hear Ted sing the Beavis & Butthead classic "Lesbian Seagull".
Which is a damn shame.

Like, I'm not crazy for seeing this, am I? Visionaries are always misunderstood my friend. It's a lonely path but consider the gift you have! Now I'm wondering what Englebert Humperdink is up to now. He would've made a great "celebrity" guest at those early 90s' Wrestlemanias
